Last Updated: 2024/11/05, It is very important to manage cherry blossoms after blooming in early spring. After blooming, the withered branches, overlapping branches and disease and insect branches of the cherry trees should be cut off in time, and the strong branches should be retained, and the rest should be cut off from the base, so that the cherry blossoms can be ventilated and transparent, constantly renew and grow vigorously. After pruning, the cherry blossoms should be disinfected in time with medicine or ink to treat the wound to prevent bacteria from soaking into the wound and rotting after rain. After anthesis, fully mature organic fertilizer can be applied to promote leaf spreading and growth, and watering and loosening the soil in time the second day after fertilization to keep the soil loose.

Cherry blossom management is important after flowering in early spring. After flowering, the withered branches, overlapping branches and diseased branches of cherry trees should be cut off in time, and the healthy branches should be kept. The rest should be cut off from the base, so as to facilitate the ventilation and light transmission of cherry trees, continuous renewal and vigorous growth. The pruned cherry trees should be disinfected with medicine in time, and the wounds can also be treated with ink to prevent fungi from infiltrating the wounds and rotting after rain.

After flowering can apply a fully decomposed organic fertilizer to promote leaf development, promote growth, the next day after fertilization timely watering and loosening, keep the soil loose, beneficial root development. At the same time, topdressing can be used outside the root. 2 grams of boric acid, 0.1% urea and 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate are added to every 15 kilograms of water. When fertilizing, the fertilizer solution will be sprayed on the front and back of the leaves, so that the nutrient elements penetrate into the mesophyll tissue through the epidermal cells and stomata, and then transported to the whole body through the petioles and veins. Spray once every 5 - 7 days. Until the flower buds of cherry blossom are formed and the leaves are dark green.

From May to July, Wuhan and rain are more conducive to cherry brown spot perforation disease. The disease mainly occurs in leaves, but also occurs in new shoots. The affected leaves are purple-brown spots at the initial stage, and then gradually become round spots. In the later stage, the disease spots dry and fall off, forming perforations. After perforation, the edges are neat, and the leaves are easy to fall off, affecting the growth, flowering and ornamental value of cherry trees.

In Wuhan area, Japanese late cherry (Guanshan, Juying) varieties are more serious, so it is necessary to spray Bomi 2 - 4 degree stone sulfur mixture before cherry germination, 700 - 1000 times of 70% thiophanate-methyl WP or 500 times of 65% zebrazine WP after cherry leaves grow.
