The hundred flower snake lives in rock cracks and holes, at the foot of mountains and rocks, or in the grass on the edge of the grass or in the rocky grass on the banks of ditches and streams at an altitude of 50 to 300 meters. The snake is active day and night, with the most active at night. The range of activity is not wide, and the cold tolerance is poor. The middle and last ten days of July every year is the spawning period, laying once a year, each spawning 614 eggs, the eggs are long oval and milky white. It is distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi and Guizhou in China.
