Last Updated: 2024/11/05, White floor disease is a difficult soft-shelled turtle disease that has appeared since 1996. it is the most serious harm to soft-shelled turtle, the highest mortality rate and the most difficult to treat. All of them can die if they are not treated in time. At present, the pathogen of the disease is controversial, and it has been reported that the pathogen: ① bacteria: the pathogens are Aeromonas hydrophila, Proteus and Edwardsiella tarda. ② virus: spherical virus diameter 80nm, ③ cross-infection: virus infection followed by bacterial infection and death. The author believes that according to the analysis of the results that vitamins are added during treatment, the effect is particularly obvious.

White bottom plate disease is a difficult soft-shelled turtle disease since 1996. It is the most serious disease with the highest mortality and the most difficult treatment. If not treated in time, all can die. At present, the etiology of this disease is controversial, and the reported pathogens are: ① bacteria: the pathogens are hygrophilic bacteria, Proteus and Edwardsiella tarda.② virus: spherical virus diameter 80nm, ③ cross infection: secondary bacterial infection after virus infection and death. According to the results of vitamin supplement, the immune function of soft-shelled turtle was decreased due to vitamin deficiency in feed, such as Vc and Ve deficiency, which caused anemia and cytochrome deficiency, and opened the door for virus infection, secondary bacterial infection, and pathogenic microorganisms destroyed internal organs of soft-shelled turtle, resulting in internal hemorrhage, severe anemia and suffocation death. In this year's breeding farm in Guangdong Province, except one pond fed fresh fish for a long time, the rest 8 ponds fed with compound feed all broke out white bottom plate disease, which fully proved that unqualified feed is an important cause of disease. The typical symptoms of white floor disease are intact body surface, paper-white floor, pale muscle, intestine and stomach bleeding, blood coagulation mass in intestine, and yellow liver enlargement.

Treatment measures: 2 - 3ppm chlorine dioxide is sprinkled in the whole pool, once every 4 days; at the same time, 10 grams of morpholine, 6 grams of norfloxacin, or 6 grams of chloramphenicol, or 20 million units of kanamycin are taken orally every 100 kilograms of turtles, and 5 grams of vitamin C, 8 grams of vitamin E, and 300 mg of vitamin K3 are mixed with bait for 15 - 20 days. Death drops rapidly 1 week after medication, death can stop in 10 days, and symptoms disappear in 15 - 20 days. Preventive measures: dry pond in winter should be cleaned and disinfected; fish or animal viscera should be fed, and compound feed should be nutritious.
