1. Temperature: the pig's own ability to regulate body temperature is poor, only a few sweat glands can be regulated in hot days, and only a few hairs can resist the cold in winter. Therefore, the pig house must have a good thermal insulation effect, only when the temperature is suitable to make the pig feel comfortable, can high production performance be obtained. In the case of high temperature, the body heat balance is destroyed, the body temperature increases and the endocrine function weakens, while the oxidation in the body is strengthened, resulting in the accumulation of metabolites in the body and the weakening of liver detoxification; in addition, high temperature can lead to overburden and failure of the cardiovascular system, protein denaturation of the central nervous system and other important organs, coma and final failure. Excessive cold will reduce the resistance of respiratory system and digestive system, cause respiratory diseases, enteritis, dysentery and other diseases. Low temperature is also the environmental inducement of arthritis and other diseases. Therefore, the temperature is too high or too low will cause pigs to have an emergency response, resulting in adverse consequences. The most suitable temperature for the growth of pigs was 16 ℃ (minimum 14 ℃) before body weight 60kg, 14 ℃ (minimum 4 ℃) for weight 60-90kg, and 12 ℃ (minimum 10 ℃) for weight over 90 kg. When the ambient temperature is higher than 30 ℃, cooling measures should be taken, the longitudinal exhaust system should be turned on, cold water should be sprayed or green succulent feed should be fed.
2. Humidity: the effect of humidity on pigs is mainly by affecting the body thermal regulation to affect the productivity and health of pigs, which is the result of joint action with temperature, air flow, radiation and other factors. Under suitable humidity, humidity has little effect on the productivity and health of pigs. High air humidity increases the micro-sedimentation rate of bacteria in the air, which reduces the incidence of cough and pneumonia, but high humidity is beneficial to the breeding of pathogenic microorganisms and parasites. Easy to suffer from scabies, eczema and other diseases, in addition, high humidity often make feed moldy mat grass mildew, resulting in losses. The air humidity in the pigsty is too low, which is easy to cause dry and cracked skin and exposed mucosa, which reduces its defense ability and leads to a high incidence of respiratory and skin diseases. 3. Density: feeding fattening pigs in large groups and eating in the same trough can increase appetite, promote growth, make effective use of enclosure and equipment conditions, and improve labor productivity. However, if the grouping is unreasonable, it will affect the weight gain of pigs because of biting, fighting for food and so on. When grouping, pigs from the same source, similar weight, strength and temperament are generally fed together. The number of pigs in each herd should not be too large, depending on the enclosure area and feeding density. The practice shows that the required area of each growing and finishing pig of 15-60kg is 0.6 ┫ 1.0 ┫, that of each finishing pig above 60kg is 1.0-1.2 ┫, and that every 2 finishing pigs should have a feed trough of 20 cm in length. The number of heads per ring should be 10-20. But the specific number can vary with different environmental conditions. In the north of China, because the average temperature is low and the climate is dry, the feeding density can be increased appropriately. The summer temperature in the south is higher and the humidity is high, so the feeding density should be reduced appropriately.
4. Ventilation: intensive and high-density growing and finishing pigs need ventilation all the year round. Ventilation can remove the excess water vapor in the pig house, reduce the humidity in the house, prevent condensation on the inner surface of the enclosure structure, and at the same time remove dust, microorganisms, toxic and harmful gases (such as NH3, H2S, CO2, etc.) in the air, and improve the sanitary condition of the pig house air. Therefore, pig houses need ventilation in any season, especially in winter, doors and windows are often closed in order to prevent cold, resulting in humidity and deterioration of air hygiene in the house, so proper ventilation must be paid attention to. Ventilation and heat preservation are a pair of contradictions in winter, conditional enterprises can be used to meet the temperature supply, according to the humidity requirements of the pig house to control ventilation; in order to reduce the cost, ventilation measures should be taken to ensure that the ambient temperature of the pig house can be basically satisfied, but the appearance of "thief wind" must be prevented in winter. The air flow in the pig house should be 0.1-0.2m/s, and the maximum should not exceed 0.25m/s.
5. Sunlight with suitable light can strengthen the metabolic process of body tissue and improve the disease resistance of pigs. however, excessive light can cause excitement of pigs, reduce rest time, increase thyroid secretion, increase metabolic rate, and affect weight gain and feed conversion rate. the light in the fattening pig house can be dimmer, as long as it is convenient for pig feeding and feeding management, so that pigs can have a full rest.
6. Noise in the pigsty comes from external input, machinery and pig fighting, etc. Noise will increase the activity of pigs and affect weight gain, but also cause panic and reduce appetite. Therefore, try to avoid sudden noise, noise intensity should not exceed 85dB. While beautiful music can excite nerves, stimulate appetite and improve metabolic function, just like people listening to music feel comfortable. Conditional pig farms can play some light music properly, which is beneficial to the growth of pigs.
