Preventive measures ⑴ should first strengthen the feeding management, strictly implement the veterinary sanitary disinfection system in pig farms, and avoid or reduce the occurrence of stress factors, such as preventing sudden changes in feeding conditions and infection of other pathogenic microorganisms. ⑵ when stress occurs, pigs can be given prophylactic doses of antibiotics (such as amoxicillin, florfenicol) or sulfonamides, which can prevent the occurrence of the disease. When new pig herds are introduced into ⑶, they should be raised in isolation and maintenance.

1. Precautionary measures

To prevent the occurrence of ⑴, we should first strengthen the feeding management, strictly implement the veterinary sanitary disinfection system in pig farms, and avoid or reduce the occurrence of stress factors, such as preventing sudden changes in feeding conditions and infection of other pathogenic microorganisms.

⑵ when stress occurs, pigs can be given prophylactic doses of antibiotics (such as amoxicillin, florfenicol) or sulfonamides, which can prevent the occurrence of the disease.

When new pigs are introduced into ⑶, they should be kept in isolation and the adaptation period should be maintained for about 2-3 months, so as to establish protective immunity for those pigs that are not vaccinated but have infection conditions.

⑷ has pig farms where the disease is prevalent, and Haemophilus parasuis inactivated vaccine can be used to carry out vaccination, which is an effective measure to prevent the occurrence of the disease. It is best to prepare an inactivated vaccine with the strains isolated from this field to ensure that the serotype of the vaccine strain is consistent with that of the epidemic strain, so as to obtain the best immune protection effect. Maternal antibody has a passive immune protective effect on newborn piglets, which plays a very important role in preventing the occurrence of this disease. After vaccination, sows can provide protective immunity to piglets within 4 weeks of age. Piglets can be immunized with inactivated vaccine of the same serotype.

two。 Treatment

Pigs should be treated in time after the disease, and the whole herd should be treated. Drugs such as ampicillin, penicillin, gentamicin, neomycin, tetracycline and cephalosporins can be used in sufficient doses, and oral or injection is more effective in sick pigs. It should be noted that many strains of Haemophilus parasuis are resistant to antibiotics, so some sensitive drugs should be selected for treatment. At present, the effect of cephalosporins (such as ceftiofur) is better.
