Canada 1 (soybean)
Canada No. 1 is a soybean rookie introduced from Canada in 2002 by Zhao Wenchen, senior agronomist of Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, with the strong support and help of the district's rural credit cooperatives. It has been affirmed by the vast number of local growers.
The plant of this variety is fan-shaped branched and the plant shape is peculiar. The plant height is generally 70cm to 80cm, and the high-yielding plant is above 1m.
Generally, there are about 300 pods per plant, of which 3-4 pods reach about 80%, some 5 pods, the yield per plant is 180-250 grams, and the 1000-grain weight is 290 grams. The seed eggs are round, golden in color and excellent in commerciality. tofu can be more than 30% more than ordinary soybeans. The variety is resistant to stubble, fertilizer, stem diameter and lodging resistance. After more than two years of trial planting, the yield is generally about 10000 kg per hectare, with a maximum of 13000 kg. The growth period of spring sowing is about 105 days, while that of summer sowing is only 75 days.
Key points of cultivation techniques the spring sowing period is from late March to mid-April, and the summer sowing period is from mid-May to mid-June; generally, about 252000 plants are planted per hectare and 26kg of seeds are used per hectare.

Comprehensive measures to slow down the continuous cropping of soybean
In order to reduce the yield loss of continuous cropping to the minimum, we should avoid planting soybean in continuous cropping as far as possible, adhere to reasonable rotation, reduce continuous cropping and control continuous cropping. In the long run, the continuous cropping area of soybean should not be expanded indefinitely to avoid the decline of soil production capacity and the vicious circle. In the case of continuous cropping is inevitable, first arrange to meet the stubble planting, do not open the continuous cropping arrangement, and the continuous cropping can not exceed two years. In view of the reasons for the yield reduction of continuous cropping, we should focus on the regulation of nutrition and the control of diseases and insect pests.
