Jindou 21 (soybean)
This new soybean variety is highly drought resistant and barren tolerant. The growth period is 140~145 days in spring sowing in loess hilly area of western Shanxi Province. The plant height is 90 cm, the number of main stem nodes is 21, the branches are 6, the pod number per plant is 79, and the seed number per plant is 150~160. Oval seeds, yellow seed coat, light brown umbilicus, 100-seed weight 15.0 g, average yield 120~160 kg/mu.

Jindou 21 was proved to be suitable for planting in loess hilly area of western Shanxi Province by multi-point test in Shanxi Province. It has the characteristics of high drought resistance, barren resistance and high yield. It is a new excellent soybean variety suitable for planting in the same kind of semi-arid area of Loess Plateau.
The variety is bred by hybridization in Lin County experimental base of loess hilly area in western Shanxi Province by Economic Crop Institute of Shanxi Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1997, Shanxi Province Agricultural Articles Examination Committee approved the naming.

Jindou 29 (soybean original name: Fendou 53)
Characteristics: purple flowers, brown hair, round leaves, infinite podding habits. The average growth period is 106.5 days, the plant height is 71.9cm, the effective branches are 2.6g, the number of effective pods per plant is 38.1, the number of seeds per plant is 91.3and the weight of 100 seeds is 17.6g. Seed coat yellow, light brown navel, round. The average crude protein content is 38.1%, and the crude fat content is 22.11%. Yield performance: in 2002, he participated in the regional trial of summer soybean varieties in Huang-Huai-Hai, with an average yield of 170.93 kg per mu, 10.71% higher than that of the control Ludou 11.

In 1992, the yield per mu of soybean in the comparison test was 263.5 kg, which was 11.27% higher than that of the control and participated in the middle and late ripening of soybean in Shanxi Province from 1995 to 1996.
