Kexin No. 4 (soybean)
I. Source of varieties
The Institute of Genetics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was bred in 1998, original code: 96-274. This variety was bred by chemical mutagenesis technique combined with pedigree breeding. It was approved by Beijing in 2002.
2. Characteristic characteristics
Mid-mature spring soybean varieties, sub-limited podding habits, the whole growth period of 135-136 days. Plant height 100-105 cm, elliptic leaves, purple flowers, gray hairs, yellowish brown pods, partially deciduous at maturity, undehiscent pods. The number of nodes in the main stem is 20-21, the height of pods is 23-24 cm, the number of effective branches is 1-2, the number of pods per plant is 54-58, the number of seeds per plant is 87-98, the grain weight per plant is 15-17 grams, and the weight of 100 seeds is 18-19 grams. The grain is oblong, slightly glossy, yellow seed coat and yellow navel. The average yield per mu is 169.9 kg in regional test and 156.3 kg per mu in production test.
The variety has strong comprehensive resistance: regional test field identification, resistance to mosaic virus, grain purple spot rate and brown spot rate are all less than 1.3%, and lodging resistance is strong (lodging degree below grade 2).
Quality analysis: grain protein content 41.72%, fat content 20.60%.
III. Key points of cultivation techniques
The suitable time for spring sowing in Beijing is May 10-20. The density of remaining seedlings per mu is 1.1-12000, and there is a single plant per hole, and the whole seedling is uniform and strong.
Even strip sowing or hole sowing can be done through trenching, and the soil cover depth is 2-3 cm after sowing. Before sowing, apply sufficient base fertilizer (organic fertilizer or diammonium phosphate), topdressing urea 20 jin / mu at the early flowering stage, and irrigate once through the ground.
The variety has strong disease resistance and timely spraying control when leaf-eating and grain-eating pests occur.
The variety does not break pods, and part of the living stem is mature, so it can be harvested in time or delayed for a few days when it is mature.
IV. Areas suitable for planting
It is suitable for spring sowing in Beijing.
