Xidou 3, an improved variety of soybean for both grain and vegetable use

Through multi-point experiment, demonstration and popularization practice for many years, Xidou 3 shows that it is an ideal new soybean variety with high yield potential, strong disease resistance, lodging resistance, good quality and wide adaptability in southwest China. 2. Characteristics (1) during the growth period, Xidou No. 3 belongs to the type of early and middle maturity. It lasts about 115 days in spring and 85 days in autumn. (2) the plant character plant height 45~60cm, young stem green, plant type compact, stem thick node dense, erect does not fall, branch 3-5, leaf long oval, leaf color dark green, strong growth, population development. Limited podding habits, white flower gray hair, generally 35-50 pods per plant, high-yield pods per plant can reach more than 100. (3) the mature pods are dark brown, slightly curved sickle-shaped, large pods, mainly 3 pods, oval seeds, yellow seed coat, navel brown, 100-seed weight 22-27g, good taste for green beans and easy peeling of pods. (4) it has high resistance to adversity and virus disease, does not fall upright, has good conditions of fertilizer and water, and has great potential for high yield; if the condition of fertilizer and water is poor, the stable yield performance is also good. (5) the quality protein content is 42.14% and the fat content is 18.54%. Because of the large pods, it is suitable to be used as green beans with good taste, and the rate of bean blossoms and soybean milk is high. 3. Key points of cultivation techniques Xidou No. 3 is suitable for Pingba, hills and plateau mountains, and can be planted below 1500m above sea level. It is more suitable for intercropping and field ridge beans. (1) the best sowing time for spring sowing is from the end of March to the middle of April. if green beans are in the early market, they can be sown with plastic film in the first and middle of March. Xidou No. 3 could not be sown in summer, and its yield was reduced due to summer drought during the pod filling period. Autumn sowing can be carried out in hybrid rice seed production field or parent breeding field. (2) the sowing rate and density of net cropping rows were 49.5cm × 19.8cm, and the young orchards were 59.4~66cm × 19.8cm with 2 × 3 plants per litter. The seed consumption per 667m2 for net cropping was about 8kg, and that for intercropping was about 5kg per 667m2. (3) fertilization and management to increase the application of phosphorus and potassium as base fertilizer is the basis to ensure the high yield of soybean. Those with poor soil fertility can apply seedling fertilizer (farm manure plus urea 2.5kg) at 3-4 leaves to lay a good foundation for high yield. The flower and pod stage can be combined with the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, spraying 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 1% urea twice to increase the yield by about 10%. When the first true leaf was unfolded, the seedlings were fixed when there were 2-3 compound leaves, 2-3 seedlings per litter and 2-3 times of weeding in time. In addition, we should also pay attention to pest control and sunny harvest to ensure high seed germination rate and good seed color, and improve the commodity value.
