Last Updated: 2024/11/05, To cultivate green-haired turtles with yellow-throated water turtles or other water turtles, no matter using green water method, spore water method, direct method or bonding method, it takes at least 40 ~ 50 days to see the bud tip of the basal branch of the tortoise on the tortoise shell. Only the Angelica solution is used to cultivate the green turtle, the speed of germination is the fastest and the effect is the best. The formula of Angelica liquid (water) is (according to the cultivation of 50 green turtles): add 100 grams of Angelica sinensis (mashed), 100 grams of fresh pine needles (mashed) and vitamins in 100 liters of clear water.

To cultivate green-haired turtles with yellow-throated water turtles or other water turtles, no matter using green water method, spore water method, direct method or bonding method, it takes at least 40 ~ 50 days to see the bud tip of the basal branch of the tortoise on the tortoise shell. Only the Angelica solution is used to cultivate the green turtle, the speed of germination is the fastest and the effect is the best.

The formula of Angelica liquid (water) is (according to the cultivation of 50 green turtles): 100 grams of Angelica sinensis (mashed), 100 grams of fresh pine needles (mashed), 10 pieces of vitamin B1210, 20 tablets of calcium tablets and 40 grams of brown sugar. All the above are soaked for 24 hours and filtered, and the supernatant is taken and set aside.

Wash the turtles after enhanced nutrition culture with a soft brush in clean water and immerse them in Angelica solution for 2 to 3 days. Don't feed them. At the same time, according to the algae seed meter of 4 ~ 5 grams per turtle, a sufficient number of algae species were put into a clear water container for rapid cultivation, and the light time and light intensity were increased, the water temperature was increased, and the basal branch algae spores were continuously released into the water to increase the spore concentration.

Take out the base turtle from the Angelica liquid to dry, wipe the turtle back vigorously with the turtle back branch algae, repeat 2 ~ 3 times, then cut the remaining algae species into debris less than 1 mm and put them into the spore water, combine the spore water with the Angelica liquid, add clean water to the required amount and stir evenly, divide it into each container (one tortoise and one device), and finally put the dried turtles wiped with the algae seeds in each container for rest. It is best not to feed or only feed a small amount of food within half a month, keep the light environment dominated by shade (the light intensity is about 2000 lux), the temperature is kept between 20 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, and the bud tip of the germinated basal branch can be seen in 20 ~ 30 days.

This scientific and advanced cultivation method is the crystallization of 18 years' experience accumulated by Mr. Jiang Zhanglin, director of "Haining Longtouge amphibian and Reptile Research Institute" in Yuanhua Town, Haining City, Zhejiang Province. Several batches of green-haired turtles cultivated by the author generally see green fluffy algae hairs on their backs in more than 20 days. After three months of careful management, the "green hair" can grow to more than 10 centimeters, with an average success rate of 96%.
