How to train a dog to lie down

Lying down training is to develop the ability of dogs to lie down quickly according to the command of their owners.

First of all, make the dog sit on the left, the owner takes a step forward with the right leg, bends the body forward and downward, and then seduces the dog with the food held in the right hand. When the dog lies down, it will be rewarded with food in time. Later, with the gradual formation of conditioned reflexes, food stimulation can be cancelled, and passwords and gestures can be used to make the dog lie down.

Another method is to make the dog sit down on the left side, the owner of the left leg step back, in a squatting position, both hands hold the dog's two forelegs, issue the "lying" command, and extend the dog's two forelegs forward, while pressing the dog's shoulder swelling with the left arm, when the dog lies down correctly, it will be rewarded immediately. Remember, don't punish a dog when he does something wrong or disobeys orders. Instead, touch his head as soon as he does the right thing and say a few words of praise. He will be more obedient, because there will never be too much encouragement.
