Last Updated: 2024/11/06, In southern China, summer time is long, and in July to August, the temperature is often above 30℃, and the relative humidity of the air is often around 85%~90%. In such a high temperature and high humidity season, the management of scorpion cannot be ignored. The management measures of scorpion in summer are described as follows. When scorpion is above 25℃, with the increase of temperature, the activity is more frequent, and the food intake is also increasing. At this time, it is also in the peak period of growth and development, and the consumption is large. The body needs a lot of nutrients and water.

In southern China, summer time is long, and in July to August, the temperature is often above 30℃, and the relative humidity of the air is often around 85%~90%. In such a high temperature and high humidity season, the management of scorpion cannot be ignored. The management measures of scorpion in summer are described as follows.

I. Increase feed dosage

Scorpion above 25℃, with the temperature rise, more frequent activities, food intake is also increasing, at this time is the growth and development of the exuberant period, consumption, the body needs a lot of nutrients and water, feeding times should be increased, every 3~4 days feeding once, especially when the temperature rises to 32℃ above, should be 2~3 days to put once. Feed should not be single, but diversified. In addition to feeding mealworms, ground turtle worms and foreign worms, feed@#@254 @#@, moth larvae,@#@261 @#@, etc. Each feeding amount should be enough to eat on the same day. Too much will be wasted, and insufficient will affect growth and development. High temperature will make scorpion body consumption of water, should be fed with fresh watermelon peel, melon peel, tender corn and other sweet feed to supplement water.

II. Humidity management

In the rainy season, when the indoor relative humidity is about 90%, it will affect the growth and development of scorpion. Therefore, measures should be taken to reduce the relative humidity of breeding pond, indoor humidity and nest soil. Specific measures are: open doors and windows for ventilation after 9 o 'clock on a sunny day, reduce humidity, or use charcoal to absorb moisture. If conditions permit, moisture absorption machine can be used to absorb moisture, so that the relative humidity in the breeding pool and indoor is kept below 80%, and the nest soil is changed frequently. The wet nest soil is replaced with new soil with no pollution and water content of 7%~10%. Moreover, the feed residue in the food basin is removed from the outdoor every day to keep the feed room and nest soil dry.
