Potato ladybug
Potato lady beetle (HenosepilachnavigintioctomaculataMotschulsky) belongs to Coleoptera, Coccinellidae. It is widely distributed in the north of China. It is mainly harmful to potatoes, eggplant, cabbage, rape, beans, melons and so on.
[field identification] both adults and larvae eat harmful leaves and gnaw on one side of the epidermis and mesophyll, resulting in many reticular pits. The adult is about 8 mm long and hemispherical. The body back and sheath wings are yellowish brown, and there is a sword-shaped black spot in the center of the forechest dorsal plate. There are 2 black spots on each side. Each sheath wing has 14 black spots, of which there are 3 spots at the base of the sheath wing, and the 4 spots behind it are not in a straight line. When mature, the larvae are about 9 mm long, yellow, spindle-shaped, dilated in the center, protuberant in the back, black spines on the back of each node, and 6 thorns on each branch.
[occurrence regularity] there are 1 or 2 generations a year, and adults gather in leeward-facing cracks, walls and caves to survive the winter. In the second year, the overwintering adults began to live in the middle and late May, and the peak damage period was in the middle and last ten days of June and August to September. Adults are active during the day, have false death, fall to the ground motionless when disturbed, and secrete mucus. The larvae are infested and slow to move.

Processing technology of potato chips (fried)
1. Raw material formula: potato chips 100 kg, baking powder 0.5 kg, chemical seasoning 0.5 kg, potato starch 20 kg, emulsifier 0.6 kg, water 65 kg, refined salt 1.5 kg. 2. Technological process: raw material mixed → pressing, slicing → frying → finished product. 3. Main points of production: pressing and slicing: after mixing the above materials in proportion, press them into a thin sheet with a thickness of 0.6 cm to 0.65 cm (water content is about 39%), and then cut the pressed sheet according to the desired width.

Potato ladybug and 28 star ladybug
The morphology of potato ladybug is very similar to that of eggplant 28 ladybug. As soon as the potato sprouts, the adults and larvae concentrate on the growing plants to feed on the leaves to survive the winter. The overwintering adults lay eggs in the field around April and emerged in July. One generation a year occurs in spring sowing areas. The larvae and adults of 28 ladybug damage the leaves of eggplant, potato, tomato, cucumber and other vegetables, causing wilt. The larvae live on the back of the leaves. Adults occur for 2-3 generations a year in warm areas, overwintering as adults, and generations overlap. Adult colonies after overwintering
