Characteristics: this variety is a dry japonica three-line hybrid rice. The average growth period of dry direct seeding of wheat stubble in Huang-Huai area is 116 days, which is 6 days later than that of Zhengzhou early japonica, with a plant height of 89.7 cm, compact plant type, strong tillering ability, ear length of 15.7 cm, total grains per panicle of 97.1 grains, seed setting rate of 74.9%, and 1000-grain weight of 24.6 grams. Resistance: drought resistance grade 5, rice blast grade 5, flax leaf spot grade 1. The main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 66%, length-width ratio 1.8, chalky rice rate 15%, chalkiness 0.8%, gel consistency 85 mm, amylose content 15.40%.

Yield performance: in 2002, participated in the upland rice regional trial of mid-late maturity group in Huang-Huai-Hai wheat stubble area, the average yield per mu was 292.2 kg, which was 14.7% higher than that of Zhengzhou early japonica, and in 2003, the average yield per mu was 282.5 kg, which was 29.3% higher than that of Zhengzhou early japonica (very significant). Compared with the control upland rice 277, the yield increased by 13.9% (significant). In the production experiment in 2003, the average yield per mu was 311.6 kg, which was higher than that of Zhengzhou early japonica and upland rice.

Main points of cultivation techniques: 1. Seed treatment: drying seeds before sowing, coating seeds with seed coating agent or soaking seeds with carbendazim; 2. Soil preparation: selecting land under irrigation conditions to level and rake fine and make beds, combined with 1000 kg of farm manure per mu of land preparation. 10 kg of diammonium sulfate, 10 kg of potassium sulfate, 15 kg of ammonium sulfate and a small amount of micro-fertilizer. 3. Weeding: weeding with herbicides before emergence, and "stem and leaf treatment" with Quick-killing paspalum after emergence; 4. Irrigation and topdressing: upland rice mainly depends on natural precipitation in its life, but it should be irrigated in time in case of drought at the critical stage of growth. Topdressing should be selected before irrigation or rain, about 10 kg of ammonium sulfate should be applied at jointing stage, booting stage to heading stage, respectively. 5, pest control: pay attention to the control of rice blast, armyworm, Chilo suppressalis and other pests.
