(1) Variety source: this variety is a medium indica early maturing variety bred by Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, using 613A as female parent and Mingshen 105 as male parent.
(2) characteristics: vigorous growth at seedling stage, compact and moderate plant type, erect flag leaves, medium tillers, neat heading and good color conversion in the later stage. The panicle is flat with about 150 grains, the seed setting rate is 80-81%, the 1000-grain weight is 28-30 grams, the rice grain is transparent, the palatability is good, the whole growth period is 151 days, which is 4.2 days longer than the control Shanzheng 8, and the resistance is identified as neck blast grade 1-5.
(3) yield performance: the combination participated in the provincial regional test from 1994 to 1995, with an average yield of 437.5 kg per mu in two years, an increase of 3.32% over the control Shanjing 8, and an average yield of 576kg per mu in 1996, 11.3% higher than that of the control.
