Characteristics: this variety belongs to indica three-line hybrid rice. The average growth period of one-cropping middle rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is 133.8 days, which is 1.7 days earlier than that of Shanyou 63 (CK). The plant height is 117.6 cm, the plant shape is moderate, the growth is luxuriant, the uniformity is general, and the color change is medium in the ripening period. The number of effective panicles per mu is 171000, the ear length is 24 cm, the total grains per panicle is 159.5, the seed setting rate is 85.6%, and the 1000-grain weight is 27.1g. Resistance: Rice blast 7, bacterial blight 5, brown planthopper 9. Main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 60.5%, aspect ratio 2.5, chalkiness rate 93.5%, chalkiness 21.6%, gel consistency 48mm, amylose content 20.9%.

Yield performance: 2001 participated in the regional trial of medium indica late maturity and high yield group in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the average yield per mu was 621.41 kg, which was 2.43% higher than that of Shanyou 63 (extremely significant). In 2002, the average yield per mu was 575.03 kg, which was 3.71% higher than that of Shanyou 63 (extremely significant). In the two-year regional trial, the average yield per mu was 597.29 kg, 3.07% higher than that of Shanyou 63. The average yield per mu in the production test in 2003 was 509.84 kg, which was 8.04% higher than that of Shanyou 63.
