Characteristics: this variety is a conventional japonica rice variety. The whole growth period is 176.9 days in Beijing, Tianjin and Tang areas, which is 4 days later than that of 93 in the control. The plant height is 97.2cm, the total number of grains per panicle is 112.5, the seed setting rate is 84.5%, and the 1000-grain weight is 26.8g. Rice blast is grade 3. Main indicators of rice quality: head rice rate 69.1%, chalky rice rate 22%, chalkiness 2.2%, gel consistency 85 mm, amylose content 16.7%.
Yield performance: in 2002, participated in 93 groups of regional trials in the northern rice region, the average yield per mu was 599.2 kg, which was 11.7% higher than that of 93 in the control (significant); in 2003, the average yield per mu was 584.6 kg, 7.2% higher than that of 93 in the control (extremely significant). The average yield per mu in the two-year regional trial was 591.9 kg, 9.4% higher than that of 93 in the control.
