It was examined and approved by Sichuan crop Variety approval Committee in 1997. The whole growth period of Shanyou 63 is 5 days longer than that of Shanyou 63, which is a late maturing medium indica combination. Plant height 120cm, neat growth, luxuriant plants, strong tillering ability, high panicle rate, large panicle with many grains, ear length about 23cm, 187Mir 194 grains per panicle, seed setting rate about 80%, 1000-grain weight 26.3-27.7g. Wide adaptability, strong stress resistance, better mature color and greater elasticity of seedling age.

The whole growth period is 4 - 5 days longer than Shanyou 63, belonging to late maturing medium indica rice combination. The plant height is 120cm, the growth is regular, the plant is luxuriant, the tillering ability is strong, the panicle rate is high, the panicle is large and many, the panicle length is about 23cm, the grain number per panicle is 187 - 194, the seed setting rate is about 80%, and the 1000-grain weight is 26.3 - 27.7 g. It has wide adaptability, strong resistance, good maturity color, large seedling age elasticity, high and stable yield, and the general yield is 8250 - 9750 kg/ha. Rice quality is excellent, brown rice rate 82.1%, milled rice rate 72.2%, head milled rice rate 66.5%, grain length/width ratio 3.39, chalkiness rate 62%, amylose content 20.9%, main rice quality standards reach the first or second grade high quality rice standards issued by the Ministry.
