Greenhouse vegetables

As the weather gets cooler and the light weakens, many vegetable farmers are ready to change the film for the greenhouse. However, some improper practices of vegetable farmers in replacing greenhouse film are not conducive to prolonging the service life of greenhouse film.

Misunderstanding one: do not pay attention to the maintenance of the bamboo pole before changing the film. The bamboo pole in the greenhouse has to bear the heavy pressure of grass, and the load-bearing capacity is greatly increased in heavy snow weather, which will cause part of the film-supporting bamboo pole to be split or broken. Such bamboo pole must be maintained or replaced in time. For the broken bamboo pole, it can be removed and replaced, or another one can be attached next to the broken bamboo pole, and the original broken part is wrapped in cloth strips to prevent piercing the greenhouse film. Bamboo poles that can continue to be used only when there are cracks can be wrapped in strips of cloth.

Misunderstanding 2: the east-west steel wire is pressed directly on the gable. When installing the east-west pressing film steel wire for the greenhouse, some vegetable farmers press the steel wire directly on the gable. When using the tensioner to stretch the steel wire, the steel wire will be strangled into the gable, which is not conducive to fastening. It is suggested that the bottom of the steel wire on the gable should be covered with waste tires or soles to expand the stress area of the steel wire and prevent the steel wire from being strangled into the gable.

Misunderstanding 3: pressing the film rope directly on the greenhouse film. When vegetable farmers press the greenhouse film from north to south with the pressure film rope, if the pressure film rope is pressed directly on the surface of the greenhouse, then when pulling the grass or blowing the wind, the pressure film rope will wobble, and for a long time, it will wear out the greenhouse film at the turning point between the shed surface and the front of the greenhouse. It is suggested that vegetable farmers pad rags, rubber hoses or PVC pipes at the turning point of the shed surface and front, or cover plastic hoses on the pressure film rope, so as to avoid direct contact between the pressure film rope and the greenhouse film, reduce the friction between the pressure film rope and the greenhouse film, and slow down the wear speed of the greenhouse film.

Replace the greenhouse film

Myth 4: remove the old film prematurely when changing the film. When some vegetable farmers change the film, they are used to removing the old film first, waiting for the steel wire and bamboo pole on the shed surface to be maintained or replaced, and then replace the new film. During this period, the temperature and humidity in the shed changed dramatically, and some external pests also took the opportunity to fly into the shed, thus laying hidden dangers for the occurrence and spread of some diseases and insect pests. Therefore, it is necessary to shorten the time it takes for the old film to be removed to the new one. It is suggested that the bamboo pole to be replaced should be prepared in advance, stretch the new film in front of the shed, then remove the old film, immediately replace the bamboo pole that needs to be replaced, and cover the new film.

Myth 5: inferior film or old film is used in the venting belt. In order to create a suitable growth environment for vegetables and ensure a suitable temperature in the greenhouse in winter, vegetable farmers generally use good quality greenhouse film, but inferior film or old film are often used for the ventilation belt at the top of the greenhouse. Poor quality film and old film have poor anti-fog dripping property in winter, and it is easy to produce dew during ventilation, which leads to high air humidity in the shed, which is not conducive to the prevention and control of diseases. It is suggested that the film on the venting belt should be replaced once a year, and the film with good quality and strong anti-fog dripping property should be replaced.

Myth 6: there is no covering at the film of the two gables. After the greenhouse film was covered, some vegetable farmers did not set up the mulch on the greenhouse film at the two gables in time. When vegetable farmers pull grass grass, they go up and down the shed from the mountain wall, which is easy to break the greenhouse film here, and the greenhouse film on the gable is in direct contact with the soil, which is more vulnerable to erosion, affecting the insulation and service life of the greenhouse. It is suggested that after changing the greenhouse film, cover the old grass grass on the walls of the two mountains immediately and press it with bricks or old cement pillars, on the one hand, it can prevent vegetable farmers from trampling on the greenhouse film when going up and down the shed, on the other hand, it can prevent vegetable farmers from skidding up and down the shed in rainy and snowy weather, making it easy to walk.
