Chili is one of the common seasoning dishes in our life, and it is indispensable on our dinner table. When planting chili, the seed germination rate is a problem that growers pay more attention to. Because of its few seeds and germination rate, growers will germinate before sowing, so how to accelerate the germination of pepper seeds? Let's get to know it.

1. Seed selection and disinfection

First of all, we should choose seeds with full, uniform size and high purity, and then remove impurities in the seeds, so as not to affect germination or cause rotten seeds. Disinfection should be carried out after selecting seeds. Disinfection can prevent and cure most diseases. Soaking it in 10% copper sulfate solution can control anthracnose and leaf spot; its concentration in very low zinc sulfate solution can inhibit the occurrence of virus diseases.

2. Soaking seeds

In order to improve the activity of the seed, the first step is to soak the seed, generally soaking the seed in 20-30 degrees water, the amount of water can not exceed the seed. In order that too much water affects the composition of the seed, the time of soaking the seed must be controlled, not too long, soaking can be, generally only need to soak for 3 hours, if the water temperature is low, it is necessary to soak for 6-8 hours. After the seeds are fully absorbed, remove them and dry them, ready for the next step.

3. Hot seed

After the moisture of the seeds is dried, the seeds can be scalded. Hot seed and disinfection effect is similar, it can kill most of the bacteria carried on the surface of the seed, but also stimulate the activity of the seed, conducive to germination. Hot seeds need to pay attention to be sure to continue after soaking seeds, direct hot seeds may lead to the loss of seed germination ability. Hot seed when the water temperature can be controlled at about 50-60, slowly put the seeds into hot water, change while stirring, so that the seeds are heated evenly, after 15 minutes, you can fish out the seeds, clean and enter the germination step.

4. Sprouting

First of all, wrap the treated seeds with gauze or cotton towels and put them in an environment where the temperature is about 30 degrees. The package should not be pressed too tightly. In order to heat the seeds evenly, open the package and turn it several times to avoid heat accumulation. Rinse with clean water once a day and wrap it after drying the moisture. In this way, the seeds will be white within a week, and when more than half of the seeds are white, they can be sown.
