Mushroom double "show"
The new varieties of brown Agaricus bisporus "Zongxiu No. 1" and white Agaricus bisporus "Yingxiu No. 1" bred by Horticulture Research Institute of Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences by using single spore hybridization, single spore system breeding and molecular assisted breeding techniques have passed the first batch of varieties of edible fungi in China.
"Zongxiu No. 1" is a new brown Agaricus bisporus variety. The surface of mushroom lid is brown, and the stalk and flesh are white. Mushrooms are of excellent quality, round fruiting body, thick lid, firm, not concave top; delicious taste, fresh taste. Because the mushroom cover is natural brown, no chemical color protection and bleaching agent are needed, and the shelf life is long. Under the same conditions, the variety produces mushrooms 2~3 days earlier than the white mushroom variety, the mushroom tide is orderly, and the yield reaches 9-12 kg/m2. The fruiting temperature range is wide, especially the fruiting ability at low temperature is stronger than that of conventional white mushrooms. "Yingxiu No. 1" is a white mushroom with low temperature tolerance. It has the advantages of thick mushroom lid, nearly hemispherical shape, no concave top, not easy to open umbrella with thin skin, thick mushroom stem, slow browning, and strong low temperature fruiting ability.
