In various animal farms, fur animals can often be found scratching with their claws, gnawing with their mouths or rubbing their own quilts and skin with the help of cage nets and corners, resulting in local hair loss, depilation, skin inflammation, and even ulcers, and some die. Most of these diseased animals are hindered by their growth and development, which seriously affects the quality of fur and brings great economic losses to production.

1 etiological analysis

According to the investigation and analysis, there are roughly four reasons. ① suffers from external parasites such as scale mites, demodex or hair lice; ② is caused by tinea alopecia, or tinea dermis, caused by fungal infection in dermatomycetes; ③ is caused by acute wet dermatitis caused by wind-cold and humid environments; and nutritional deficiencies caused by deficiency or imbalance of certain vitamins or trace elements in nutrients used by ④ animals.

2 clinical symptoms, prevention and treatment

Due to the different causes of the disease, the clinical symptoms and prevention measures are also different, as detailed in the table below.

1. Cause: scabies mites. Clinical symptoms: red and swollen skin, severe itching, skin ulcers, the formation of yellow and white crusts, like rice bran. Site of invasion: dermis (with holes, shallow passage). Prevention and control measures: 2% trichlorfon or sulfur ointment to wipe the affected area, or intramuscular injection of avermectin or extermination.

two。 Cause: Demodex. Clinical symptoms: there are small red protuberances around the hair follicles, skin ulcers, abscesses and silver dandruff. Site of invasion: hair follicles. Prevention and control measures: 2% trichlorfon or sulfur ointment to wipe the affected area, or intramuscular injection of avermectin or extermination.

3. Cause: caterpillar lice. Clinical symptoms: unbearable itching, gnawing on the skin and coat, scaly. Site of invasion: skin and coat. Prevention and control measures: 0.5% Yiduoling or 25% deltamethrin smear the affected area.

4. Etiology: bloodsucking lice. Clinical symptoms: strange itching, animal panic. Site of invasion: subcutaneous capillaries. Prevention and control measures: 2% trichlorfon or sulfur ointment to wipe the affected area, or intramuscular injection of avermectin or extermination.

5. Etiology: fungal infection. Clinical symptoms: the coat appears gray round bald spot, the hair is easily broken, and the skin has crusts. The site of invasion: the skin around the lips, nose and anus. Prevention and treatment measures: 2% iodine tincture or iodine glycerin smear the affected area.

6. Eczema dermatitis. Clinical symptoms: rapid development of the disease, local itching, hair removal. Invasion site: lip, nose, ear, anus, armpit, groin skin. Prevention and treatment measures: eliminate pathogenic factors, wipe the affected part with Xiaoyanping or Pikang cream, and intramuscular injection of dexamethasone 2ml, once a day for 3 days.

The comprehensive preventive measures for the above diseases are to strengthen hygiene and epidemic prevention, to do a good job in environmental hygiene, and to do a good job in disinfection of cages and eating utensils.

The etiology and clinical symptoms of nutritional deficiency are varied, such as VB, when lacking, the main manifestation is that the whole body coat is rough and inverted; when VB2, VB12 and pantothenic acid are deficient, the whole body coat falls off one by one, the hair color becomes pale, and there are seborrheic dermatitis symptoms; when biotin and trace elements such as copper, cobalt, sulfur, zinc, iron, manganese or sulfur-containing amino acids are insufficient, it will cause alopecia or trichiasis. The overall performance is as follows: keratosis of the epidermis, curling and discoloration of the hair, gnawing and eating the hair tip, the needle hair is bald, the villi become shorter, the tail tip is glabrous, and the hair seems to have been cut. The site of nutritional deficiency disease is the whole body hair and skin, which is generally the process of hair loss from the → neck of the ear, the → of the forelimb, the side of the → body and the tail of the →. Prevention and treatment measures are based on the analysis of the causes of the occurrence, the elimination of pathogenic factors, and the treatment of what nutrition is lacking. In line with the principle of scientific feeding to provide adequate and reasonable collocation of various nutrients, the disease can be prevented.
