Poisoning of organic nitrate compounds in rabbits

Published: 2024-11-05 Author: mysheen
Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The disease is caused by rabbits accidentally eating vegetables, cereals, plant seeds or field weeds that have used organophosphorus pesticides, and improper use of drugs in the treatment of external parasites. Organophosphorus compounds include trichlorfon, dichlorvos, 1605, 1059, 3911, dimethoate, marathon, Erqinong and so on. 1. Clinical symptoms: symptoms appear within 0.5-4 hours after exposure to poison, showing no eating, salivation, tears, pupil narrowing, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, muscle tremor all over the body.

This disease is caused by rabbits eating vegetables, grains, plant seeds or weeds in the field that have been used with organophosphorus pesticides by mistake, and improper drug use when treating ectoparasites. Organophosphorus compounds include trichlorfon, dichlorvos, 1605, 1059, 3911, dimethoate, marathon, two Qinnong and other varieties.

1. Clinical symptoms:

Symptoms occur within 0.5 to 4 hours after exposure to the poison, showing no eating, salivation, tears, pupil contraction, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, muscle tremors all over the body, or excitement, convulsions. He died of paralysis and suffocation. Mild symptoms only show salivation and diarrhea.

2. Pathological changes:

In the most acute cases, no obvious pathological changes were observed at autopsy. Gastrointestinal mucosa swelling, epithelial exfoliation or necrosis, sometimes bleeding plaque. Mild swelling of liver, spleen and kidneys. Mesentery lymph node hemorrhage, pulmonary congestion edema, bronchial secretions have a large amount.

3. Prevention measures:

The rabbits that have been poisoned should be rescued immediately. No matter what kind of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning, atropine can be used to relieve and relieve symptoms, and phosphorus solution or phosphorus chloride can be used for detoxification. Atropine can be injected intramuscularly into each rabbit 0.5~5 ml, with salivation stopping and pupillary contraction disappearing as the standard. Because atropine does not last, repeat the drug once when symptoms recur. External drug poisoning should be promptly cleared of residual liquid on the body surface to prevent continued absorption. The rabbits with severe disease should be given strong cardiac fluid at the same time to improve their general condition.

The source of green feed should be strictly controlled to avoid mixing organophosphorus pesticides into rabbit feed and drinking water. When trichlorfon is used to treat internal and external parasites of rabbits, the dosage should be accurately calculated to prevent the occurrence of this disease.
