First, the main characteristics.

1. The level of output. The seed setting rate is 90%, the 1000-grain weight is 26 grams, and the suitable number of spikes per mu is 220000-240000 ears. In general, the yield per mu is about 700kg. In the national northern rice regional test in 2002, the average yield per mu is 627.8 kg. In a large area demonstration field, the yield per mu of Dongxin farm is 805kg, and that of Gangbu farm is 790kg. All of them reached the highest level of local conventional medium japonica production.

2. Resistance. After years of experiments, this variety showed good resistance to rice blast and bacterial blight, and the occurrence of sheath blight was mild. Strong lodging resistance.

3. Growth period. The variety has 17-18 total leaves and 5 elongated internodes in its lifetime. The whole growth period is about 150 days, which is 3-4 days earlier than Zaofeng 9. At maturity, the main stem still has 3-4 functional leaves, the culm is green and the ear is yellow, and the ripening phase is good.

4. Plant type. The plant height of this variety is about 100 cm, the tiller is fast at seedling stage, the tillering ability is medium, the whole growth period is exuberant, the plant type is compact, and the leaves are firm.

5. Quality. Tested by the quality testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, 10 of the 12 indicators reached the first-class national standard of high-quality rice and two reached the second-class standard. The multi-point sampling test of the National Agricultural Technology extension Center in 2001 showed that the rice quality was above the second grade rice, and the quality stability was the best among the tested varieties.

Second, the main points of cultivation

The main results are as follows: 1. Sowing at the right time and cultivating strong seedlings. The best sowing date is in early May, the seedling age is 35-40 days, and the field ratio of seedlings is about 1:7. Before falling into the valley, you must soak the seeds with fungus, insect and nematode to prevent evil seedling disease and dry-tip nematode disease. Attention should be paid to the control of rice thrips and rice planthoppers at seedling stage.

2. Suitable time for transplanting and reasonable close planting. Planting 22000-25000 holes per mu and basic seedlings 80-100000 per mu can obtain ideal yield.

3. Rational fertilizer operation. Lian 9805 is a fertilizer-tolerant variety, heavy application of base fertilizer, early application of sub-manure, appropriate late application of panicle fertilizer. During the whole growth period, 22-24 kg of pure nitrogen, 12-14 kg of phosphorus pentoxide and 18-20 kg of potassium oxide were applied per mu.

4. Scientific water slurry management. Transplant in shallow water, live in deep water, tiller in thin water, dry and wet in the later stage, do not cut off the water too early.

5. Comprehensive prevention and control of diseases, pests and weeds. We will focus on the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests such as borer, rice planthopper, sheath blight and rice blast.
