How to plant direct seeding seeds? Radish seed planting method when is the seed direct seeding
How to grow direct seeding plants has the same basic needs as all vegetables: full sunlight (8 hours a day); rich in well-drained soil, you can dig up a lot of organic matter, such as compost; the right amount of nutrients from compost and fertilizer; and water.
Follow the instructions for sowing seeds from the package. To do this, you need to know your "last frost date". This is, on average, the date of the last frost in your area, and most planting instructions revolve around it. Call your local cooperative promotion office (find an office here) or ask an experienced gardener near you. It is important to get advice from nearby, as the date of the last frost can vary greatly over a short distance.
Radish is sown one to two weeks before the last frost. You should wait six to seven weeks, and then pull another one to see if the root is ready to taste; most varieties mature within 55 to 70 days. But don't leave carrots on the ground for so long. They will become big and woody. Like most root vegetables, they taste best when they are young. Like all root vegetables, carrots are best in well-drained soil, without rocks, which makes them bend. Use a lot of compost and even some sand to modify the dense, sticky clay. You can plant a second batch of carrots at the end of summer to harvest autumn.
Radishes have a spicy taste, and within three to four weeks they mature to the size of food faster than anything else. Some people have a negative relationship with them and encounter too many spicy radishes in the salad bar. But there are many kinds of radish. They are white, pink and light purple as well as the familiar ruby color. You can cook radish, or eat raw salad or snacks. The seeds were sown in batches about two weeks before the last frost. You can start the autumn harvest at the end of summer, but don't try to grow radishes in hot weather.
