Making eel cage with mineral water bottle
Using old mineral water bottles to make eel catching cages instead of bamboo eel catching cages is economical and practical. The production process is described as follows:
(1)Choose two mineral water bottles of the same color, shape and size, with a capacity of about 600 ml. Cut off the bottom of the bottle on both sides, one of which is cut off from the shoulder of the bottle. The two cut bottles are connected into a long bottle according to the upper part of the bottle bottom and the lower part of the bottle shoulder. The joint is welded tightly with 8~10 holes of hot wire drill.
(2)Choose a hard plastic sheet of the same color as the mineral water bottle, cut it into a semicircle with a diameter of 16 cm, and cut 8~10 2 cm long cuts inward from the center. The shear mouth is thin and dense, and its function is to only let eel in and not let eel out. Then roll the cut plastic sheet into a conical shape with the bottom as big as the bottom of the mineral water bottle, and sew the edges tightly with nylon thread.
(3)Will be made of conical small head inward, large head and mineral water bottle bottom mouth alignment, and nylon thread sewing tight. The bottle body is drilled with 30~40 small holes by burning iron wire, which is thin and dense for draining. Finally, put the cap hole on the nylon rope and cover it. At this point, a complete eel trap is ready. In actual production, it can be done in batches to improve efficiency. Eel traps made from mineral water bottles are used in exactly the same way as bamboo eel traps. The bait (usually locust earthworm) with 20~25 cm long bamboo string good, from the bottle cap into the bottle, cover the lid. The cage was placed in a paddy field, ditch or pond where eel was expected to be in the evening of the previous day and retrieved the next morning. Pay attention to the cage when putting it in the rice field. Note that when placing the cage in the rice field, put the cage flat into the water and let the water submerge the whole cage. If the water layer is too shallow, press the cage slightly into the mud layer.

Using new technology to raise fattening shrimp
Xu Zhihua, a shrimp farmer in Fengma Yi Village, Hengli Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou City, contracted 60 mu of pond to raise Penaeus vannamei. In 2007, under the guidance of agricultural technicians, he used enzyme technology and fish and shrimp fertilizer, and achieved a net income of 5000 yuan per mu. Xu Zhihua carried out comparative experiments in two ponds. The No. 1 pond was sprinkled with enzyme bacteria, fertilized and watered with fish and shrimp, and 50,000 shrimp fry were released per mu. He applied sparingly, without using water purifying agents and fungicides throughout the process, but there was no phenomenon of floating head and dead shrimp, and the survival rate of shrimp was more than 95%. 4
