The golden headed box turtle
Cuora aurocpitata, also known as Wanjin turtle, is classified into turtle family, genus Cuora and species Cuora aurocpitata. It is distributed in Anhui Province, but not reported abroad.
[Morphological characteristics] The head is longer, the back of the head is golden yellow, the eyes are larger, and the upper jaw is slightly curved. The back armor is dark brown, scattered with pale yellow patches. [Male and female identification] The female turtle has a round and blunt snout, a flat ventral carapace center, cloaca holes closer to the ventral carapace edge, and no copula in the cloaca; the male has a sharp snout, a slightly concave ventral carapace center, cloaca holes farther from the ventral carapace edge, and cloaca holes have black copula.
[Living habits] Living in mountain streams and rock crevices in hilly areas, feeding on insects, small fish, shrimp and other animals. Love the shadows, climb.
[Breeding equipment] Golden-headed shell turtle is aquatic turtles, its web is rich, can live in deep waters, the water must be scattered with stones exposed to the water surface, for its rest, breeding pool must be arranged into a "amphibious" type, water depth of about 20 cm do not need to build land, such as water depth more than 20 cm to build land, in case the turtle for a long time in the water without breathing opportunities and suffocation death.
[Breeding Management] According to the habits of the gold-headed shell turtle and the requirements for temperature and food, it is generally easy to raise. The temperature is about 15℃, the food is stopped or eaten less, the temperature below 10℃ enters hibernation state, and the normal food can be eaten at 20℃. Under artificial feeding conditions, fresh fish meat is used to lure food at the beginning, and gradually feed itself.
