1. Breeding environment
1. Caged. The cage can be made of wood strips, bamboo slices and iron wire, and the specification is 60 cm × 50 cm × 40 cm. 2. Flat pond type captive breeding. It is suitable to be used in the case of bungalow and width. The room is divided into a 0.5-1 square meter pool with bricks and planks, and it is best to pad some sawdust or straw in the pool, which is conducive to keeping warm and absorbing moisture. 3. Three-dimensional factory feeding. Its scale is large, relatively centralized, easy to manage and operate, and a large number of animals are raised. Use brick or wood, iron bar to make 3-5 layers, the bottom is slightly inclined, so that feces flow out, easy to manage.
II. Feed management
The feed of guinea pigs had better be fed as soon as possible, put clean water for drinking, eat less and eat more, each adult dolphin diet about 40 grams, twice a day, keep the trough clean and hygienic. After feeding the concentrate, fresh green material is added at the same time. The green material had better be cut and fed on the same day, and each adult dolphin is fed with about 250 grams of green feed every day to prevent it from being fed with green material contaminated by pesticides.
III. Growth and development
The average weight of newborn guinea pigs is 50g / 115g. The whole body is covered with hair, incisors, eyes and ears are open, and soft food can be eaten after a few hours. The average daily weight gain was 45.5g in the first two months after birth. Generally, the body weight of 2-month-old guinea pigs can reach 350 grams, that of 5-month-old female mice can reach 700 grams, that of males can reach 750 grams, that of adult males can reach 950g, and that of adult females can reach 800g. The lifespan of guinea pigs is generally 4-5 years.
IV. matters needing attention
The ability of guinea pigs to automatically regulate body temperature is poor, and it is sensitive to the change of ambient temperature. The critical temperature of guinea pigs is-15 ℃, high temperature 32 ℃, neutral temperature range 30-31 ℃, and the suitable temperature of guinea pigs is 18-29 ℃. Therefore, the temperature of the feeding room should be controlled within the range of 18-29 ℃, the optimum temperature is 18-22 ℃, and the humidity is 40-70%. When the temperature is above 29 ℃, if the humidity is high and the air does not flow, it can cause great harm to guinea pigs and even cause miscarriage of pregnant rats.
