The new soybean variety Hefeng 39 was examined and popularized by Heilongjiang crop Variety examination and approval Committee in January 2000.

The yield performance of the provincial 14:00 regional test in 1997-1998 was 2694.9 kg / ha, an average increase of 13.9% over the control variety Kennong 4, and the province's five-point production test in 1999 was 2229.3 kg / ha, an average increase of 13.4% over the control variety Kennong 4. The output of regional test and production test ranked first in this area, with high and stable yield.
