Last Updated: 2024/11/09, At present, there are the following methods used in production: (1) sand grinding method: the licorice seeds and clean river sand are mixed at a ratio of 1 to 1, put into a container, stirred repeatedly to make them rub, and can be sown when the seed coat is not bright. This method is labor-consuming and is only suitable for the treatment of a small number of seeds. (2) Rice milling machine treatment: licorice seeds were milled with electric rice grinder for 3 times in order to cut the seed coat and keep the seed unbroken. (3) heating and re-soaking method: soak the seeds in 60 ℃ warm water for 6-8 hours, bleach out the seeds that have been soaked in the upper layer by the "rice washing method", and then rinse the seeds in the lower layer.

Then soak the seeds in 100 ℃ boiling water for 2-3 seconds, immediately put them into cold water to stimulate the seeds, then soak them in 60 ℃ warm water for 2-4 hours, and finally mix all the treated seeds together and wash off the mucus with clean water to sow seeds.
