New cut flower carnation varieties' Linlong 2' and 'Linlong 3'

Shanghai Forest and Flower breeding Center has cultivated a series of new varieties of carnation (cut flowers, potted plants). Among them, the female parent of 'Linlong 2' cut flower carnation is' marble 'and the male parent is' Hongkashi'; the female parent of 'Linlong 3' is' Lightning 'and the male parent is' Tucks'. In 1998, an excellent single plant was selected and bred by tissue culture and propagation. The two varieties grew neatly and steadily and were authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture on November 1, 2003. the variety rights were CNA20020182.4 and CNA20020183.2, respectively.

Variety characteristics

Both 'Linlong 2' and 'Linlong 3' belong to large flower cut flowers, and the flowers are super-double and fragrant.

The growth potential of 'Linlong 2' is strong, and its outstanding characteristics at seedling stage are wide and thick leaves and strong resistance to leaf spot. The flower stem is stout and the plant height is 68~86cm. The leaves are green and the wax layer is thin. The flowers are pink, neat and beautiful, with a diameter of 8~10cm when they are in full bloom. The number of petals is 50-60, and the edge of the petals is sharp serrated. The flower bud is ovate, the fissure is five-star before opening, and there are only 2 styles.

'Linlong 3 'has strong stress resistance, stout and straight flower stem, and the plant height is 100,120 ┩. The leaf is obliquely extended, the leaf color is dark green, and there is an obvious waxy layer on the surface. The flowers are 10~1lcm in diameter and are dark red with silky luster. Petals number 75-80, petal margin serrated, deeply engraved. Buds Obovate, styles 2-3. Key points of cultivation techniques

It is suitable for protected cultivation all over the country. Like loose, fertile and well-drained, pH6.0~7.5 sandy loam. The seedlings are generally planted in November in Shanghai, with row spacing of 1.2~1.5cm × 1.5cm, timely surfing the Internet, wiping buds and picking buds. The suitable growth temperature is 1825 ℃, the growth potential weakens when it is higher than 30 ℃, and freezing injury is easy to occur when it is lower than 0 ℃. During the growing period, topdressing was applied once or twice a month, mainly nitrogen fertilizer in the early stage and compound fertilizer in the later stage.
