Mountain apricot has the characteristics of strong resistance, easy management, low investment and quick effect, and almond has high nutritional value and medicinal value, the market is in short supply and the development prospect is broad. In recent years, the scale of development in northern China is relatively fast. In order to better improve the yield and quality of mountain apricot and create higher economic benefits, we must master the following key points in cultivation and management.

I. key points of planting techniques

Planting density: the general density of mountain apricot forest is 110 plants / 667 square meters, and the row spacing is 2 meters × 3 meters. Close planting or sparse planting can also be appropriate according to management standards and site conditions.

Planting time: spring and autumn can generally be planted, can also be used to raise seedlings in a nutrient bowl, planted in summer or rainy season.

Planting method: according to the requirements of row spacing, first dig the planting hole, bury the root with topsoil, step on the seedling, stretch the root system, make the buried soil level with the surface, make a good basin watering, and then cover a layer of soil after water infiltration, and then cover 1 square meter of plastic film per plant. When afforestation in autumn, the stem of the seedling should be bent flat with the ground before freezing, and the soil should be buried to prevent cold. The seedlings are dug up in the spring and then covered with film.

Planting mountain apricot is relatively simple. But when planting, we should pay attention to burying it strictly, stepping on it, and not planting it too deeply. In addition, when selecting plots, attention should be paid to avoid the tuyere zone, so as to avoid the harm of late frost in the flowering stage of apricot trees and affect the yield.

II. Management of mountain apricot

Management under trees: most apricots grow on steep or gentle slopes, and the site conditions are poor, so it is difficult to dig deep into the soil. First of all, a shallow plane in the tree plate, pick up the stones to build the tree plate, and then repair the tree plate. The size of the tree disk should be the same as that of the tree crown. The outer edge of the place with a large slope is high and the inside is low. As the management is strengthened year by year, the tree plates should be connected and built into terraces. Pruning tree plates is a key measure for soil and water conservation, and water storage is even more important because of the difficulties in watering mountain apricots.

Tree management: tree management mainly includes shaping and pruning and pest control. In addition to the newly planted apricot trees on the sloping land, the original apricot trees should mainly be renewed and strengthened. That is, to get rid of the old trees with dry and decaying perennial cadres and low yields, leave the young trees sprouting around, cut off the old and withered branches from the big trees, promote the germination of new branches, and do a good job in pruning with the strengthening of management and the improvement of technology.

Forest clearing replanting: where the forest clearing is large and the original apricot trees are sparse, it is necessary to do a good job in replanting to improve the utilization rate of woodland.
