A New Disease-resistant and High-quality Carnation Variety "Yunzhi Butterfly"
Yunzhidie is a new carnation variety bred by Flower Research Institute of Yunnan Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Carnation was planted in Yunnan Province in 2005. It showed wide adaptability, high yield, strong disease resistance, pure flower color, transportation tolerance, long vase life and easy cultivation. Register Protection of New Plant Varieties by Ministry of Agriculture in 2005.
1. Botanical characteristics. Single flower type. Cross section of stem is prismatic, without cavity. The leaves are blue-green, long-sword-shaped, 15.99 cm long and 0.92 cm wide. The surface is rich in waxy layer, and the leaf margin is not hairy. The buds are spherical before they crack open and develop color. Flowers 8.6 cm in diameter, corolla height 5.21 cm, flowers have a slight aroma. The calyx is bell-shaped, the flower is double-petaled, the number of petals is 68.6, the surface of the petals is wavy, the edge is close to the whole margin, there are two colors on the petals, the first main color is white, the second main color is pomegranate red, no stain. Ovary ovate, inferior part is light white, surface is smooth. Style 2, stigma white bottom, purple-red spots.
2. Biological characteristics. It is a very early variety, planted in mid-April, with a growth period of 119 days; planted in late June, with a growth period of 156 days. Cutting rooting rate, seedling rate are high, high propagation coefficient.
Third, cut flower quality. The branches are upright and uniform, the branches are hard and long; the flowers are large, the colors are pure, the two colors are coordinated, the proportion is appropriate, the number of petals is appropriate, the flower shape is good, and the fragrance is good; the edge of the petals is nearly complete, and the operation and transportation of the post-harvest treatment are resistant.
4. Resistance. Medium resistance to Fusarium oxysporum, high resistance to Fusarium wilt, leaf spot.
5. Production. The average number of cut flowers per square meter per crop is 215.6.
