Adopt high-quality queen bee

In order to adopt the high quality queen bee, we should mainly consider three aspects: selecting the Chinese bee species with excellent species and production performance, adopting the new queen bee and preventing the degradation of the bee species in use. The queen bee with excellent characteristics is the guarantee of strong colony rearing, and the bee species with strong fecundity, strong population potential, weak bee division, high yield and strong disease resistance (especially resistance to cystic disease) should be selected in the breeding of Chinese bee. The excellent queen bee can be obtained through the bee species production department, but it must be noted that the introduced queen bee should show its excellent characteristics in the production of beekeeping in the use land. When the queen bee is bred in the bee farm, the queen bee colony with strong fecundity, weak bee division, large population potential, high yield and strong disease resistance (especially resistance to middle cystic disease) should be selected as the mother colony and father colony to cultivate the new queen. In the production practice of raising bees, the fecundity of the queen bee decreased obviously after one year of use, which led to the decrease of colony potential, the improvement of bee division, the decrease of disease resistance and the decrease of production capacity. Therefore, in the production of Chinese bees, the king should be changed once a year, that is, the king should be changed in the spring bee season, and the new king should be adopted every year. The qualified professional bee farm should change the king once in spring and winter, and change the king twice a year, so as to lay the foundation for the Chinese bee to maintain strong colony production all the year round. The degeneration of Chinese bee species is one of the important reasons why it is difficult to maintain a strong colony. Up to now, most of the Chinese bee farms have bred their own queen bee for a long time, and the queen bee has been inbred, which leads to the decline of the vitality of the colony and can not maintain the colony potential that can be achieved in the wild. In order to avoid the disadvantages of inbreeding and prevent the degeneration of bee species, we should pay attention to the problem of bee species degradation in strong colony breeding, introduce improved species regularly, or use introduced species as female parent, and use the colony with good production performance in this place as male parent to cultivate queen bee.
