The plant type is compact, the leaf is straight, the leaf color is light, and the tillering ability is medium. The plant height is 110 cm and the number of effective ears per mu is 19.

I. Source of varieties

It was bred in 1999 by the Institute of crops, Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences. Original code: Jing 7506, parent combination: Xingshi A / Moonlight / / C93010. It was approved by Beijing in 2002.

2. Characteristic characteristics

Mid-spring rice varieties. The whole growth period of spring middle rice in Beijing Plain is from 155 days (sown in early May) to 165 days (sown in mid-April). The plant type is compact, the leaf is straight, the leaf color is light, and the tillering ability is medium. The plant height is 110cm, the number of effective panicles per mu is 195000, the panicle rate is 78.9%, the average grain number per spike is 126,87.2%, and the 1000-grain weight is 25.5g. It belongs to the intermediate variety with both the number of grains per ear and the number of grains.

The ear is spindle-shaped, the ear length is about 20 cm, the grain density is medium (60-70 grains per 10 cm), the grain is oval, the ratio of length to width is 2.35, the ratio of length to width of brown rice is 1.9. Glume and glume tip yellowish white, awnless or slightly Awned, glumes short and few. Resistant to neck blast, stripe blight and flax spot, moderately resistant to bacterial blight and susceptible to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Drought and low temperature tolerance, good yellowing, strong lodging resistance. In the regional test, the average yield per mu is 553.1 kg, which has the potential to yield 700kg per mu under the condition of improved varieties and methods.

Quality analysis: Brown rice rate 82.3%, milled rice rate 74.2%, head rice rate 69.5%, chalky grain rate 7%, chalkiness 1.3%, transparency grade 2, alkali elimination value grade 7, gel consistency 52, amylose content 16.4%, protein content 9.1%.

III. Key points of cultivation techniques

The suitable sowing date is about 15 days later than that of mid-late mature spring rice varieties, which is convenient for seedling cultivation and water-saving cultivation. Spring rice should be sowed during April 25-30 and transplant seedlings in early June; medium rice or wheat stubble rice can be sowed in early May, strive to transplant early, and the seedling age should not exceed 50 days. It is required to sparsely sow and raise strong seedlings, with a sowing amount of about 100 grams per square meter. Transplanting specifications: row spacing 25-30 cm, hole spacing 15 cm, 2-3 seedlings per hole. Fertilizer and water management adopts the principle of steady promotion, which can be controlled when the total number of stems reaches the planned panicle number (20-240000 per mu). In medium-fertility fields, the amount of pure nitrogen per mu is 12-14 kg.

Prevention of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum: pre-management to avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer or deep irrigation. Pay attention to drying in the middle stage, so that the base of the seedling stem is rough. The control method is similar to that of sheath blight. Jinggangmycin can be sprayed 1-2 times from late July to early August in the disease area.

IV. Areas suitable for planting

It is suitable for the cultivation of old seedlings of mid-spring rice or wheat stubble in Beijing area.
