Canine dermatosis is a complex disease, the causes of which are bacterial, viral and tumorous, as well as allergic. The most common clinical diseases in winter should be acariasis and mycosis.

Acariasis

Acariasis is a contact infection, sometimes there is no obvious external manifestation, but severe itching, susceptible parts: auricle, elbow, tarsal and abdomen, disease manifestations from blood rash to posterior scab, sometimes damaged or ulcerated. Clinical test: scrape with a surgical blade at the junction of the affected part and healthy skin (until the blood is scraped), and observe the presence of mites under a microscope.

Treatment.

(1) Ivermectin was subcutaneously injected with 0.1 ml / kg body weight (Cowley and Scottish Shepherd Dogs are prohibited) once every 7 days for 3 ~ 5 days.

(2) except Lai Ling, developed by Tianjin Baoling Animal Health products Co., Ltd., each animal is 10ml, adding 3.2kg ~ 6.4kg water to rub bath.

(3) soaking in traditional Chinese medicine, pure traditional Chinese medicine No. 1 and mite No. 2 developed by Beijing Huazhitang Institute of traditional Chinese Medicine have special effects on intractable mites by soaking in boiling water for 30 minutes and drinking water.

(4) for the treatment of ear acariasis, after washing with cotton swab dipped in sterilized water, ear oil was dripped and ivermectin was injected subcutaneously.

Mycosis

The disease often occurs in the face, ears, limbs, toes, claws and torso of sick dogs. the typical skin disease turns into a round hair and spreads around rapidly.

Definite diagnosis

Extract a few hairs from the diseased part and put them under the ultraviolet lamp to observe whether there is fluorescence. Those with fluorescence can be considered as fungal infection, and common acariasis will be secondary to fungal infection in the later stage.

Treatment.

(1) Clotrimazole and daconine smear the affected part.

(2) oral griseofulvin for 7 to 8 days.

(3) soak and smear pure traditional Chinese medicine No. 1.

The diagnosis of the above skin diseases should be different from the hair loss caused by excess estrogen and the hair loss caused by dexamethasone for too long.

Prevention of skin diseases

Dog skin belongs to neutral skin, people use shampoo and bath fluid is generally alkaline, because human skin is mostly acidic, so the dog bath when using neutral shampoo or dog shampoo, at the same time the dog's skin is thin, so bathing can not be too frequent.

While treating skin diseases, you can bathe the dog with sulfur soap and take vitamin B orally at the same time, which is good for the treatment.

As skin diseases are characterized by severe itching, scratching will cause skin damage and even infection, so the treatment of skin diseases should be combined with the use of antibiotics. Prevent staphylococci and Pseudomonas aeruginosa from aggravating the disease.
