Huayou 123 (Rice)

Huayou 128 is a late maturing combination of three-line hybrid early rice bred by male sterile line Y Huanong An and restorer line R128. It is suitable for early and late planting outside northern Guangdong. The rice area of northern Guangdong can also be used as middle and late rice according to local conditions. In December 2001 and March 2002, it was approved by Guangxi and Guangdong respectively.

1. Yield performance: participated in the provincial regional trials in the late season of 2000 and 2001, the yield per mu was 449kg and 4451 kg respectively, which was 44% and 55% higher than that of the control combination Peiza Shuangqi, which was not significant, and ranked fifth and first respectively. In the late season of 2001, he took part in the production test of the whole province, with a yield of 499 5 kg per mu, ranking first among the 4 combinations tested. Guangdong trial planting 130000 mu and Guangxi 350000 mu yield 472 Mu 684 kg per mu, about 10% higher than the local popularized combination Peiza Shuangqi and slightly higher than the high-yielding combination Teyou 63.

2. Characteristics: Huayou 128 is a temperature-sensitive three-line hybrid rice combination, which is similar to Peiza Shuangqi, which is 130 days early and 115 days late. The tillering ability is strong, the growth is vigorous, the plant type is concentrated, the leaf is thick and straight, and the color changes smoothly. The plant height is about 105cm, 18-200000 ears per mu, ear length about 21 cm, 140 Mel 180 grains per panicle, seed setting rate 80% Mel 95%, 1000-grain weight 22Mel 23 grams. The appearance of late season rice is second grade, head rice rate is 655%, chalkiness grain rate is 14%, chalkiness degree is 21%, aspect ratio is 2.6, amylose content is 23.3%, gel consistency is 34 mm, 9 items of early rice and 10 items of late rice meet the first and second grade standards of high quality rice issued by the Ministry. Medium resistance to rice blast, the whole population resistance frequency was 83.3%, of which the resistance frequency to group B and group C was 89% and 58% respectively, and the resistance to bacterial blight was grade 3.

3. Key points of cultivation: early sowing and early planting in ①, early sowing at the end of February and early March, transplanting at the beginning of April, sowing at the end of July 10-15 for late planting, and transplanting at the seedling stage of 25 days.
