Key points of Rice cultivation of Huaiyoujing No.2

Huaiyoujing 2 is a new mid-maturing japonica rice variety bred by Huaiyin Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Xuhuai area of Jiangsu Province. The whole growth period of this variety is about 152 days, which is suitable for planting wheat stubble rice in Huaibei area of our province, with good stem toughness, short basal internodes, strong lodging resistance, high resistance to stripe blight and susceptibility to hemp spot, and the yield per mu is stable at about 550kg. Each index of rice reaches the national first-class high-quality rice standard.

The amount of dry grain per mu of sparse sowing and sparse planting is not more than 40 kg, and the seedling age is not more than 35 days. The transplanting row spacing was broadened to 27 cm, the hole spacing was 20 cm, and 2-3 seedlings were planted in each hole.

Fertilize reasonably and apply fertilizer for 3 times. One is base fertilizer. In addition to farm manure, 25 kg of compound fertilizer was applied per mu combined with land preparation, and 10 kg of urea was applied per mu after soil preparation. The second is tiller fertilizer. 15 kg of urea was applied per mu 5-7 days after transplanting. The third is ear fertilizer. When rewatering the field (around August 1), 15 kg of urea should be applied per mu.

Control of diseases and pests in the middle and later stages of rice growth, attention should be paid to the prevention and control of flax spot. After the beginning of rice heading, 100 grams of 75% tricyclazole or 80 grams of 40% chlorpromazine per mu in cloudy or evening days were sprayed with 50 kg of water and 60 kg of water, once every 7 days to control rice blast for 2 times in a row.
