The spawning and breeding period is from May to June. (2) there are a large number of "chasing stars" in the head, pectoral fin and caudal stalk of male and female mature males, and there is a rough feeling in the hands; when the abdomen is narrow and sexually mature, milky semen is released from the testis of the abdomen gently pressed; and the first fin of the pectoral fin is thick and wavy. The female fish has no "star chase" or only a small amount of star chase in the eyes and back, which is obvious in the abdomen.

1. Parent fish culture

The main results are as follows: (1) the age of sexual maturity is 2-3 years old, and the weight of sexual maturity is more than 0.5 kg.

The female fish has no "chasing star" or only a small amount of chasing star in the eyes and back, the abdomen is obviously dilated and soft, the cloaca is red and swollen and protruding outward during the reproductive season, and the first pectoral fin is thin and straight.

(3) the selection and breeding of parent fish should weigh more than 0.5 kg, age 2-4 years old, healthy and harmless. Generally, 15,22.5 kilograms of parent fish are released every 100 square meters. Megalobrama amblycephala is mainly green bait, and during the breeding season and before and after spawning, it is necessary to increase the compound bait or bean cake, vegetable cake and other refined bait, the feeding amount is 2%-3% of the body weight of the parent fish. When the water temperature rises above 18-20 ℃, male and female parent fish should be cultured separately to prevent the water temperature from rising and parent fish spawning naturally.
