Last Updated: 2024/11/08, There are three main sowing methods of potato straw mulching no-tillage cultivation: 1. No-tillage of rice field covered with rice straw directly, high-yield ditch (drainage and irrigation ditch) is dug, ditch width is 20 cm, depth is 15 cm, border width (ditch) is 150 cm. The soil dug out should not be piled on the edge of the ditch, and the border surface should be slightly arched to avoid stagnant water. General small grass and rice stubble do not affect planting, if there is a large grass can be trampled down or hoed, there is no need to use herbicides. Sow 4 rows in each row, planting in wide and narrow rows, with wide rows in the middle, row spacing of 34 cm and narrow row spacing of 28 cm on both sides.

There are three main sowing methods of potato straw mulching no-tillage cultivation:

1. Directly plant rice straw

No tillage in paddy field, digging high-yield ditch (irrigation ditch), ditch width 20 cm, depth 15 cm, ridge width 150 cm. Excavated soil shall not be piled on the edge of the ditch, and the ridge surface shall be slightly arched back to avoid ponding. General grass and rice stubble do not affect planting, if there is large grass can be trampled down or hoe, do not use herbicides. Sow 4 rows per ridge, planting in wide and narrow rows, with wide rows in the middle, row spacing 34 cm, narrow row spacing 28 cm on both sides, plant spacing 25 cm, and 20 cm on each ridge. According to the "pin" shape, about 6000 plants are planted per mu. Place the seed potato on the soil surface (preferably pressed into the mud), the bud eye close to the soil surface, and then evenly cover the straw 8~10 cm thick (the so-called 8~10 cm is not the thickness of the straw after compaction, but "gently patted, pressed but not solid"). Straw should be spread over the entire surface of the bed, leaving no empty space. Otherwise, the heat preservation and moisture retention effect will be reduced, the potato pieces will be easy to appear green, the green potato rate will be high, and the commodity rate and commodity quality will decrease.

2. Buried seeds covered with straw

The other method is the same as the previous one, except that the seed potatoes are buried in the soil by digging holes and burying seeds or covering seeds with trench soil.

3. Buried seeds or directly planted, covered with straw and then covered with soil

No-tillage rice field, plow high-yield ditch (irrigation ditch) in advance, ditch width 30 cm, depth 20 cm, ridge width (wrapped ditch) 100 cm (large ridge inconvenient to cover soil), ditch soil reserved for straw cover. Sow 2 rows in each plot, bury seeds in double rows in the shape of "pin" according to the specification of row spacing of 0.30 meters and plant spacing of 0.25 meters, and plant about 5000 plants per mu. Then evenly cover with straw about 5 cm thick. Then dig a high-yield ditch (irrigation ditch), and the excavated soil is directly covered on the straw, with a thickness of 5~8 cm. characterized by simultaneously having all the advantages of constant tillage and no-tillage straw mulching cultivation, avoiding the deficiency that no-tillage straw mulching cultivation cannot be carried out due to insufficient straw, and greatly reducing the green potato rate.
