Jijing 14 (Rice)
Jijing 14 (90-3), a new super high yield japonica rice variety, is an excellent new variety with high yield, disease resistance, high lodging resistance and excellent rice quality.
In the regional test and regional demonstration in Hebei Province, the average yield per mu was more than 15% higher than that of the control, and the average yield per mu was 750 kg. In 1993, this variety was selected to implement the high yield plan of "bumper harvest cup" in Hebei Province. After on-site inspection and acceptance by experts, the average yield per mu of two high-yield fields (more than 2 mu) is 907.9 kg and 918.7 kg respectively. The variety has a full growth period of 170 to 175 days, a plant height of 100 to 105 cm, a strong tillering ability, an average of 120 grains per panicle, a thousand-grain weight of 28 grams, dark green leaves, raised flag leaves, stout stems, high resistance to lodging, resistance to rice blast and bacterial blight. The roughness rate is 83.81%, the milled rice rate is 75.25%, the head rice rate is 74.12%, the amylose content is 14.42%, the transparency is good and the taste is good.
Regional and technical Jijing 14 is a mid-early maturing conventional variety, which can be cultivated in one season in the south of the Great Wall and wheat stubble rice in the central and southern part of Hebei Province. It can be planted in Dandong, Liaoning, Henan, Shandong and other places. At present, this variety has been planted in 14 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
