Golden trout: the first new species in China

The township is rich in spring water resources, constantly flowing all the year round, good water quality, rich in strontium, lithium, zinc and other minerals beneficial to the human body, without harmful elements, without any pollution, and is a pure natural treasure. Water quality and water temperature are very suitable for the growth of cold-water freshwater fish. At present, a Yongchang golden trout breeding center has been built in the township, with 6 professional golden trout farmers, more than 200 parent fish and more than 20,000 large fish species.

After years of painstaking research, the golden trout, a variant of the genus golden trout, has finally been cultivated successfully. Golden trout has delicate meat, delicious taste, few spines, high nutritional value and rich protein content. It is suitable for steaming, cooking, roasting, braising, sashimi and other kinds of cooking and is easy to digest and absorb. It also contains several times more polyunsaturated fatty acids than other fish. In particular, the content of eicosapentaenoic acid, 25 carbon pentaenoic acid and 22 carbon hexaenoic acid is very high. These brain-tonifying "brain gold" Eicosapentaenoic acid is essential for improving people's IQ. Eicosapentaenoic acid can also accelerate wound healing, which is of great help to the health of pregnant women, the elderly, young children and patients after surgery, and is absolutely cholesterol-free. According to the Gansu Provincial Institute of grassland Ecology, the contents of iron, zinc, calcium, total vitamins and carotene in the meat of the golden trout were 70%, 50%, 14%, 12.93% and 18.31% higher than those of Donaldson's rainbow trout in the United States, respectively. With the improvement of people's living standards, people's demand for nutrition has changed from quantity to quality, and the body color of golden trout, which is highly valued by experts, is an appetite-boosting golden yellow, which is extremely rare in other fish.

Golden trout is a fist famous special aquatic product in the national fishery. Its achievements have reached the domestic advanced level, and the products are the first in China.
