1. Control the feeding density.

During heat stress, the feeding density should be strictly controlled in order to facilitate the heat dissipation and air circulation of pigs. the appropriate feeding density is 0.74 square meters per pig and 0.37 square meters per pig for pigs with less than 45 kilograms. For pigs greater than 45 kilograms, the solid floor is 0.93 square meters and the leaky floor is 0.56 square meters.

2. Provide a suitable environment

The orientation of the pigsty should be in the north-south direction to reduce the direct exposure sooner or later; the insulating layer on the roof of the pigsty can block the solar heat accumulated on the roof from radiating to the pig, or spray water to the roof to reduce the conduction heat of the roof and reduce the radiant heat to the pig. Under the condition of high temperature, the height of the eaves of the open pig house should not be less than 3.5 to 4.0 meters, in order to facilitate the rise of hot air and the drop of cold air, and reduce the temperature of the air around the pig body; ventilation fans can be used in the open pig house, and the wind speed should be 0.5 million meters per second in the high temperature environment of 30 to 35 ℃; intermittent water spraying around the pig body, supplemented by ventilation, is very effective in alleviating heat stress. The use of wet curtain + positive pressure ventilation system can obviously improve the warm environment of pig houses in dry areas.
