Water-saving and high-yield rice produces jasmine fragrance
Putting on shoes and planting rice with water saving has become a reality. A team led by Luo Lijun of Shanghai City Agricultural Biology Gene Center created the world's first hybrid early rice "Huhan 1A" and made a new breakthrough. Hanyou No. 3 has been approved, and the actual yield per mu has exceeded 500 kg for the first time under the condition of saving 50% of water resources.
The early rice hybrid research in Shanghai took scientists 10 years to screen 10,000 resources and obtain more than 100 drought-resistant resources as parents for breeding. "Hybrid rice is characterized by high yield, just like mules made from horses and donkeys have strong vitality." Luo Lijun said that the average rice yield per mu is about 550 kg to 600 kg, while hybrid early rice can still reach 500 kg under the condition of saving 50% of water, and the highest yield "Hanyou 3" even reaches 504.97 kg, which is basically equivalent to the yield of hybrid rice produced in large areas.
Luo Lijun, a researcher, said,"After testing, this batch of new combinations of early hybrid rice has reached the second-class high-quality rice standard promulgated by the Ministry of Agriculture." The rice quality is equivalent to that of the high-quality hybrid rice 'Hanyou Xiangqing' which has the largest extension area in Shanghai. After cooking, there is a special jasmine fragrance."
According to introduction, the three varieties have been popularized and planted in 5.3496 million mu of rice areas in southern China, increasing farmers 'income by 589 million yuan and saving 1.6 billion tons of water resources. The hybrid early rice successfully planted in Shanghai this time is not only suitable for planting in dry land in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and in "Wangtian field" which relies solely on rainfall irrigation, but also can be "water-saving cultivation" in existing irrigated rice fields. It is conservatively estimated that the extension area can exceed 20 million mu.

Data show that drought is getting worse and worse in our country. The occurrence probability of spring drought is 60%-80% in northern rice area and more than 40% in southern area of Yangtze River Basin; the occurrence probability of summer drought is 60%-70% in northwest rice area, 40% and 50% in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, Sichuan Basin and Yungui Plateau; autumn drought is more common. China's perennial drought has caused more than 30 million mu of grain losses.
Experts estimate that if hybrid early rice is planted on 200 - 300 million mu of sand dunes, saline-alkali land and dry land in southern mountainous areas, it can increase rice by more than 25 billion kg annually; if some hybrid early rice can be interplanted or interplanted in nearly 1 billion-1.5 billion mu of dry land crops, it can increase rice by 10 billion kg annually; while traditional low-yield upland rice fields planted by "falling water from the sky" can increase rice by about 5 billion kg annually if high-yield hybrid early rice varieties are planted instead.

Among them, jasmine maofeng has the best quality. The famous producing area of jasmine is in Luodian Township, Jinhua City. The soil, rainfall and climate are suitable, and there is clear spring water in Shuanglong Cave.

Brief introduction of pollution-free jasmine production technology
First, the choice of pollution-free jasmine and organic jasmine are produced in places without pollution, although not as high as organic jasmine requirements, but its production environment has specific requirements for soil, water, atmosphere and ecology, so the site selection of the garden must be far away from urban areas, residential areas, factories and mines. Second, production management pest control focus on winter prevention, pruning clear garden.① Winter prevention November to December of the lunar calendar, seize Qi
