After pesticide poisoning, silkworms generally have symptoms such as random crawling, chest enlargement, raising, spitting, trembling and shortening of silkworm body.

After organophosphorus pesticide (trichlorfon, dichlorvos, etc.) poisoning, the belly foot of silkworm twitched, the front half of the body expanded and elongated, the back half of the body shrank, especially the tail shortened and tilted to the back.

Organic nitrogen pesticides (chlordimeform, Shachongshuang, etc.) poisoning, mainly for silk spinning, crawling to the edge of the silkworm seat, obvious anti-feeding, after a period of crawling, the chest transparent, slowly died. It does not decay immediately after death, and the skin is wrinkled.

Precautionary measures:

In order to control pests in mulberry garden, pesticides with short residual period must be used.

For mulberry gardens that have been sprayed with pesticides with a long residual period, leaves should be collected and fed in advance in order to ensure safety.

Prevent mulberry leaves from being contaminated when crops near mulberry fields are sprayed to control insects.

At the same time, it is necessary to strictly prevent silkworm rooms, silkworm tools and supplies from coming into contact with pesticides.

After exposure to pesticides, sericulturists must wash carefully and change their clothes and shoes before entering the silkworm room to operate.

When silkworms are poisoned, coke bran should be sprinkled in time, net should be added to remove sand, and non-toxic mulberry leaves should be fed. At the same time, we should open the doors and windows, strengthen ventilation and try to save silkworms or mildly poisoned silkworms.
