Zuoxiang pear
It is a new variety bred by Fruit Tree Research Institute of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The parent was Apple Pear × Yanbian Xiehuatian, which was crossed in 1956. It has been popularized in Jilin, northern Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Bashang, Hebei and other provinces (autonomous regions), such as Guizhou, Jiangsu and Gansu.
The fruit is medium-sized, the average weight of a single fruit is 120 grams, and the large fruit can reach 216 grams. The fruit is nearly round or oblate, the pericarp is green and yellow, and it turns to yellow for a period of time, some of which have red dotted halo and have a beautiful appearance. The fruit surface is smooth, waxy and glossy, with small and many fruit spots, not obvious. Fruiting pedicel 2.48 cm long, 3.25 mm thick; Bowa shallow and narrow, grooved sepals persistent, medium large, erect; pedicel shallow and medium broad, wrinkled rice. The heart is large, with 2 to 5 ventricles. The flesh is white, the flesh is fine, compact and crisp, and the meat becomes soft after ripening, with less stone cells, more juice, sweet and sour taste, strong fragrance, high quality and so on. Contains 12%-15.7% soluble solids. In Xingcheng, Liaoning Province, the fruit was harvested from late August to early September, which is an excellent variety with medium maturity. The fruit is mainly used for fresh food and is not resistant to storage. It can be stored for about 30 days at room temperature.
The plant growth potential is strong, the 10-year-old tree is 3.87 meters high, the stem circumference is 32.3 centimeters, and the crown diameter is 3.4 meters × 3.53 meters; the sprouting power is strong, the bud germination rate is 82.0%, the branching power is medium, and there are 2 long branches under the general cutting mouth.
The initial fruiting age is middle and late, and it generally begins to bear fruit 4 ~ 5 years after planting, mainly bearing short fruit branches. According to the survey, short fruit branches accounted for 87%, long fruit branches accounted for 4%, medium fruit branches accounted for 5%, and axillary flower buds accounted for 4%. The fruit setting rate of inflorescence is 84.9%, which is generally 3 to 4 fruits per inflorescence. Guotai branches bear fruit every other year. The yield is relatively high and stable, and the 12-year-old tree produces 120 kg. If the management is not good, there is the phenomenon of big and small years and the fruit is irregular, the phenomenon of fruit drop before harvest is not found.
In Xingcheng, Liaoning, flower buds germinate in mid-April, flowers bloom in early May, end in mid-May, fruits are harvested in late August or early September, and leaves fall in late October or early November. The days of fruit development and vegetative growth were 110 days and 204 days respectively.

This variety has strong adaptability to wind soil, tolerance to rough management, lax requirements on soil and cultivation conditions, and grows well in light salinized soil. Strong cold resistance, strong resistance to scab and brown spot, wind resistance.
The fruit is of good quality and high yield, and can be developed appropriately in colder places.
