Cooperation 88 (Potato)

"Hezuo 88" was selected by Yunnan normal University Institute of Potato crops and Huize County Agricultural Technology Center using 42 hybrid combinations provided by the International Potato Center in 1990. It passed the provincial examination in 1994 and entered the agricultural extension system of Yunnan Province in 1995 after being approved by the expert appraisal meeting. It was approved by Yunnan crop Variety approval Committee in 2001 and named Yunnan Potato No. 4.

The plant type of "Hezuo 88" is erect, the leaf color is dark green, the stem color is green purple, the compound leaf is large, the lateral few leaves are 3 to 4 pairs, the arrangement is compact, the purple flower, the natural fruiting is weak, the height is about 93 cm, the stem diameter is about 3 cm, and the growth period is about 130 days. It belongs to middle and late maturity. The tuber is concentrated, the commodity rate of tuber is high, the potato shape is long oval, the tuber is red and yellow, the epidermis is smooth, the bud eye is shallow, the dormancy period is long, the cooking taste is slight, and the palatability is good. The dry matter content is 25.8%, the starch content is 19.9% and the reducing sugar content is 0.296%. This variety is resistant to late blight. Planting in the old epidemic areas of potato cancer disease in Yunnan Province, such as Dashanbao in Zhaotong, Zhuanshanbao in Ludian New Street, Manan Township in Yongshan County and Jinyuan Township in Xundian County, shows that "Cooperation 88" has high anti-cancer disease.

Key points of cultivation this variety is a typical short-day variety, which can not set seedlings normally in spring when the sunshine time is getting longer, and shows late ripening, so it is only suitable to be planted in spring in one-season spring potato planting area. This variety needs a large amount of fertilizer, in order to give full play to its potential to increase production, it is appropriate to select high-grade fertile land, fertilizer is mainly farm manure, heavy application of base fertilizer, supplemented with a small amount of phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer before closure. When the whole potato is sown, the suitable sowing density is 3000mu / mu.
