Panjin No.2, a High yielding Rice Variety
Panjin No. 2 (H148) was crossed with Jin300 grain in 1988 using the indica rice (IR36) consanguinity line 27 in our institute.
After being stable, the new super-high-yield rice variety took part in the identification test in 1992, entered the variety comparison test in 1993, and began to be introduced to the outside world in 1995, which fully showed the characteristics of high yield, multi-resistance and high quality.
I. characteristic characteristics
1. Seedling stage: strong seed germination, fast emergence, developed root system, strong seedling, resistance to low temperature and saline-alkali tolerance.
2. Tillering: quick return to green after planting, early tillering, strong tillering ability and good situation, high effective tillering rate, 22-230000 ears per mu and 250000 ears for seedling throwing.
3. Plant type: the plant height is 905cm, with 16 leaves, the leaf is broad, thick and erect, the plant is scattered at the tillering stage, slightly folded after jointing, the plant shape is scattered, and the ventilation and light transmission performance is good.
4. Ear-grain character: it belongs to tight loose ear type, with dense grain-setting, average spike forming 140tel 160 grains, fruiting grains more than 85%, large spike about 350 grains, 1000-grain weight about 26g, grain yellowish, oval-shaped and awnless.
5. Rice quality: milky white, evil white and small, high rate of processed head rice and good palatability.
6. Resistance: resistance to rice blast, false smut and sheath blight, extremely resistant to lodging, low temperature and saline-alkali resistance.
7. Ripening period: about 160 days in Panjin, it is a mid-late mature variety, which can be planted in Panjin, Yingkou, Lvda, Dandong, southern Jinzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong and other places; sow early and plant early as early as possible in the south of Liaoyang and Anshan.
Second, yield performance
In 1993, the yield per mu of Liaojing 5 was 798 kg, which was 568 kg higher than that of Liaojing 5, an increase of 40.5%. In 1994, the yield per mu was 675.5 kg, 34.2% higher than that of Liaojing 5, which was 503.1 kg per mu. The average yield per mu is 600 Mu and 700 kg. In 1995, the average yield of Xing Changkui in Shifo Township, Yingkou City was 760kg per mu, and the average yield per mu in 1996 was 668.9 kg, which was 27.7% higher than that of Liaojing 5, which was 523.9 kg per mu. Compared with Liaojing 326kg per mu, the yield increased by 16.3%. In 1996, the average yield of Panjin II was 780.4 kg per mu in Gao Shichang 8.5 mu of Wang Farm in Dawa County.
III. Key points of cultivation techniques
In view of the fact that the variety has large panicles and multiple filling periods, ① sows early and sows early in early April, planting seedlings on May 15-25, adopting 9 × 4 inch, planting 4 seedlings in holes.
② applied early fertilizer, 65 kg nitrogen per mu, combined with phosphorus, potassium and zinc fertilizer; 80% of the total nitrogen fertilizer was applied before June 20, and the remaining 20% was applied at jointing and booting stage. Conditional spraying of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and Yemanbao before and after heading can promote early maturity and increase grain weight and yield.
③ adopted the combination of shallow, deep and dry irrigation, and increased the amount of water before and after September 20.
④ should pay attention to the control of diseases and insect pests. Strict seed disinfection and early application to control Chilo suppressalis and sheath blight. Before heading, combined with spraying Yemianbao potassium dihydrogen phosphate, Daofengling was sprayed once to control diseases and insect pests in the later stage.

Reference model of fertilization for high-yield rice
The soil formula fertilization model for rice yield 450~550kg per mu is as follows: (1) the total amount of fertilizer and the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to the proportion of fertilization should be about 1V 0.5 7kg, and the total amount is about N 10~13kg, 5 7kg of phosphorus pentoxide and 8~12kg of potassium oxide. (2) fertilization scheme 1 Base manure: (1) Organic fertilizer: general early rice applies fresh green manure 1000~2000kg or barnyard manure 500~1000kg per mu or commercial

Soil standard for high yield rice
The main results are as follows: (1) the profile is obvious, the plough layer is deep, and the depth of plough layer for high yield rice with good texture is about 20 cm, which requires that the plough layer is thick and soft, the content of aggregates is high, the structure and ventilation are good, and the tillage is suitable. The plough layer is too shallow, the rice root system is underdeveloped; the plough layer is too deep, it is easy to produce floating mud, which is not conducive to rice rooting and early development. The texture is moderate, but the sand is too sticky, the plough is not large when ploughing, it is easy to rake, the paste is not hardened when ploughing, the cracks are not opened when draining and lying in the sun, and the cracks are easy to close after rewatering.
