Demonstration and Popularization of High quality and High yield Rice in Cold region in Heilongjiang Province
The national agricultural science and technology leapfrogging project "Integration and demonstration of new rice varieties with high quality and high yield in cold regions and plant quality cultivation techniques" was officially launched in Heilongjiang Province on March 2. The project is undertaken by Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural Reclamation University. It is the first time that rice planting in Heilongjiang Province has been included in the national leapfrogging plan.
The project has been approved and popularized by Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the past two years, and has passed the acceptance of three new high-quality and high-yield rice varieties Songjing 9, Longdao 5, Longjing 14 and plant bowl seedling mechanical transplant as the core technology, integrated rice conservation tillage water-saving technology, rice mechanical transplanting cultivation technology, rice dry cultivation and sparse planting cultivation and so on. The quality indexes of the three varieties bred by the institute all reached the second grade national standard of high quality rice, and the yield reached 700 kg / mu in the experimental area of 100 mu, and the stress resistance was strong. The mechanical transplanting technology of planting pot for raising seedlings is a new rice production technology independently developed by Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural Reclamation University, which solves the problem of shortage of resources caused by soil for raising seedlings and achieves "soilless cultivation".
According to Lai Yongcai, director of the crop cultivation Research Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, rice production in Heilongjiang Province has developed rapidly, exceeding 30 million mu. After the success of the project for two years, the core varieties of the project are used to produce pure variety and high-quality rice brands, which can increase the income of rice by 2 cents per kilogram.
The project will adopt the chief expert responsibility system, establish a high-quality and efficient rice cultivation technology demonstration area of 36000 mu, with a radiation area of 3 million mu, and establish a stable technical system for sustainable development of rice production. The yield per mu in the core demonstration area will reach 650 kg, and the yield per mu in the demonstration area will reach 600 kg, an increase of more than 15% over the existing main varieties, and the income of farmers will be greatly increased.
