Scorpion thrives in summer.
Scorpion is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine. At present, the price of saltwater scorpion is 350 yuan / kg in Guangxi, and the price of water scorpion is 400 yuan / kg. Summer is the peak period for the growth and development of scorpion, and it is also in the breeding period, and the climate of high temperature, high air humidity or high temperature and dry climate has a great impact on the scorpion. It is particularly important to strengthen the management of scorpion culture in summer. The main management measures are as follows.
First, feed scientifically. Summer is the most exuberant period for the growth of scorpions. When the temperature rises to 20 ℃, the scorpion has already begun to look for food. At this time, the scorpion should provide food and water, but the amount of food supplied should be properly controlled and should not be excessive. Generally, the scorpion should be fed once every 4-5 days. If the temperature is high, the amount should be reduced properly. When the temperature rises above 25 ℃, the food intake of the scorpion is also increasing, and it is in the peak period of growth, and the consumption is large, and the body needs a lot of nutrition and water. The times of feeding should be increased, and the feed should be fed once every 2-3 days, and the feed should be diversified. In addition to feeding yellow powder insects, soft-shelled turtle insects and foreign insects, they can also be fed with @ # @ 254 insects, moths, @ # @ 261 birds @ and so on. High temperature will make the scorpion consume a lot of water, so it should be fed with sweet feed such as fresh melon peel, melon peel, tender corn and so on.
Second, prevent pesticide poisoning. Scorpion is very sensitive to pesticides. In the farms (households) that use black light to trap insects as the main source of scorpion feed or as feed supplement in summer, attention should be paid to the time of prevention and application of pesticides in the farmland and orchards around the farm (room) when diseases and insect pests occur. On the night of pesticide application, the lights should be turned off to stop trapping insects for 3 days and 4 nights.
Third, adjust the temperature and humidity in the breeding room. When the relative humidity of the air in the rainy season is about 90%, the growth and development of the scorpion will be affected. therefore, corresponding measures should be taken to reduce the humidity in the breeding room (pool) so that the relative humidity of the indoor air is less than 80%. Method: after 9: 00 in a sunny day, open doors and windows to reduce humidity, or use charcoal to absorb moisture, if possible, use a moisture absorber to absorb moisture. And often change the nest soil, remove the over-wet nest soil, and replace it with pollution-free new soil with a water content of 7% to 10%. At the same time, the remaining feed in the food basin should be removed from the outside every day to keep the indoor and nest soil dry. If the weather is dry again in summer, when the relative humidity of the air in the room and pool is less than 60%, you can use water spraying once every 7 days, and should not spray too much water, and should be uniform, so that the relative humidity of the air in the room (pool) should be kept at 75% and 80%.
Fourth, organize the mating of male and female scorpions. September to October is the mating season of the whole scorpion of the year. In order to change the excessive dispersion of the whole scorpion during free mating, so that it can concentrate on producing offspring in the suitable season from July to August of the second year, mating should be organized in a planned way. From mid-September to October, the female scorpion (species scorpion) should be fed once, the male scorpion nest should be replaced with new soil, and then the female scorpion should live with the male scorpion. The ratio of male to female scorpion is 1 ∶ 4, allowing it to mate freely, but the mating female scorpion should be mature. Otherwise, it is difficult to mate. After cohabiting for 2 or 3 days, all female scorpions have already mated, that is, they have to be separated.
Fifth, the management of pregnancy and negative birth period of female scorpion. After mating, the normal pregnancy period of the female scorpion is about 10 months, and the baby scorpion will be produced one after another from July to August of the following year. The pregnant female scorpion needs more nutrients than the general scorpion during pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant female scorpions should be fed with succulent insects frequently. Such as Tenebrio Molitor larvae, Trionyx sinensis larvae, foreign insect larvae and moth larvae, so that they can eat well and ensure the normal development of embryos. At the same time, be careful not to catch for no reason, can not often turn the nest, can not be frightened by noise, it is best to live in a separate delivery room before giving birth.
After giving birth, the baby scorpion is concentrated on the back of the mother scorpion, which is called the negative baby of the mother scorpion. During the period when the mother scorpion gives birth, avoid being frightened, do not turn over the nest, do not catch, and refuse to be visited by outsiders. On the other hand, the negative female scorpion has a large amount of food, but it is inconvenient to move and seldom come out of the nest to hunt, so pay attention to providing its food and put the food near it to facilitate feeding.
6. Separate culture of baby scorpions. When the feed is insufficient, the female scorpion has the habit of eating the young scorpion, so when the baby scorpion leaves the female scorpion to find food on its own, it should be separated in time. The method is: small-scale culture in pots, tanks and boxes, and the female scorpion can be clamped out with bamboo forceps and put into the breeding container, so that the female scorpion can be separated from the baby scorpion for several consecutive nights. When large-scale culture is adopted in the chamber and pond, there should be separate ponds or nests in the chamber and pond, so that the young scorpions can be separated automatically after leaving the mother scorpion, and the newborn scorpions should keep more than 32 ℃ at room temperature before they can grow normally. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the temperature well at this time to prevent the occurrence of low temperature.

Postpartum nursing of dogs
The postpartum bitch has poor physique and has to bear the important task of breast-feeding, so the nursing of the bitch is directly related to her growth and development. Therefore, nutrition should be comprehensive, food should be easy to digest, daily quantitative supplement of calcium preparation, in order to prevent postpartum calcium deficiency. If the puppy grows at a high speed after delivery, especially between 7 and 20 days after delivery, the bitch is prone to asthma, high fever and anorexia. In this case, you should go to the animal hospital for intravenous infusion of calcium as soon as possible. 3 consecutive transfusions can relieve the symptoms.
